Frank J. "Gino" Marchetti, age 77, of McKeesport, died on February 7, 2025, at the LGAR Health and Rehabilitation Center in Turtle Creek. Born February 21, 1947, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Carmen and Giovanna (Trasatti) Marchetti.
Frank attended California State College before becoming a proud Point Park University journalism graduate. Frank did the essential groundwork for the fraternity Phi Kappa Theta to be installed at Point Park University, affiliated with the fraternity founded in 1899 and now with over 200 chapters. Frank worked with Kepler Television Enterprises in Glassport, PA as various functional technical adjuncts in the early 1970's. Frank dedicated 15 years to Gimbels Department Store, where his warm smile and unwavering work ethic endeared him to many. Later, he continued serving his community at the Double Tree Hotel, where he was known for his dedication to hospitality and genuine kindness. Frank was a former Port Vue American Legion member who fostered camaraderie among fellow members. His love for Pittsburgh, whether cheering for the Steelers, Pirates, or Penguins, was a source of joy and pride shared with friends and family.
Frank had a deep love of music, especially popular and rock music, and owned an extensive collection and light show paraphernalia. Frank has over 35 cover songs on YouTube under Gino Marchetti, and he delighted in friends watching and appreciating his videos. We'll always remember his deliveries in karaoke and the many friends he made along the way in countless venues in the area. His unique voice made many covers unforgettable.
