Linda Jaye Morningstar, 76, of North Huntingdon, passed away on Friday, July 25, 2025. She was born November 9, 1948 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late Walter and Ruth (Nelson) Wells. She was the loving wife of 48 years to the late Robert John Morningstar, who passed away October 4, 2019. She was a retired Registered Nurse and Administrator at South Hills Health Systems. She recieved her nursing degree at Homestead Hospital School of Nursing, Bachelor's degree in education from California University of Pennsylvania and later attended Empire Beauty School, where she also taught for many years after her nursing career.

She is survived by her son, Derek Ryan Morningstar of North Huntingdon; grandchildren, Noah Walter and Riley Elizabeth Morningstar; brother, Scott Wells; sister, Patti Gruber; nieces, Kelly Robie, Trisha Wells, Kirsten Radaker, Vanessa Brigich and Sabrina Morningstar and nephews, Zachary Cestare, Erek Wells, Jason Peroney, Brandon Morningstar and Garrett Morningstar. Friends are welcome Friday, August 1, 2025 from 10am to Noon at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. (412) 751-5000 Drew J.
