Edward W. Kiesell, age 68, of Port Vue, died March 11, 2017, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born June 7, 1948, in Sharon, PA, he was the son of the late Edward A. Kiesell and Helen (Best) Kiesell Burkhardt of Port Vue and the husband of Kena Gwynn (McClain) Kiesell for over 43 years.

Edward was a retired letter carrier, from the McKeesport Post office. He was a US Marine veteran, serving during the Vietnam War and a member of the Port Vue American Legion Post # 447. He was also a member of the Port Vue United Methodist Church. Edward enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, and most of all spending time with his grandchildren. He truly loved sending each of his grandchildren special cards for every occasion.In addition to his mother and wife, Edward is survived by a daughter, Sasha (David) Kiesell Fortna of Orlando, FL; grandchildren, Miscia, Kaiden and Davin; siblings, Gary A. Kiesell of White Oak, Karen (James) Hecht of South Park and Bridget (Chuck) Besong of Port Vue; sister-in-law, Linda Hirjak Kiesell; nieces and nephews, Charlie Besong, Jonathan Serrano, Tyann (Brian) Neal and Stacey Tabanli. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Sivitz Hospice and to Stacey his niece and caregiver, whom is a director at Sivitz Hospice.Family and friends will be received at Willig Funeral Home & Crematory on March 15, 2017, from 2 – 4 p.m. and 7 – 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on March 16, 2017, at 10:30 a.m., in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Hyung-Suk Joe officiating.
