Marie Germek, age 89, of McKeesport, died April 22, 2017, at home with her children by her side. Born April 6, 1928, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Gusta and Anna (Balint) Tiffany and the wife of the late Raymond J. Germek.

Marie worked at many different restaurants throughout the McKeesport area in her early years. She then dedicated her life to caring for her family. She is a member of Corpus Christi Church and was a Christian Mother at the former Sacred Heart Church. Marie enjoyed working jig saw puzzles and she will always be remembered for her delicious homemade dishes, especially during family gatherings and holidays. Marie is survived by children, Darniece Homler of McKeesport, Michael (Christine) Germek of McKeesport; daughter-in-law, Margo Germek of North Huntingdon; grandchildren, Renee (Patrick) Germek Dooen, Amber Germek, Chantal Germek (Brian Pope), Kristin Germek and Heather ( Allan) Link; great grandchildren, Ryan, Jared, Noah, Allyson and Carter; brother, Ted (Dee) Tiffany of McKeesport; sister-in-law, Patricia Ancarana of Port Vue; also nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Marie was preceded in death by her son Larry; siblings, Dolores Cielieska, Harry Tiffany and Joey Ancarana; son-in-law, Hank Homler. Family and friends will be received at the Jaycox – Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Tuesday, April 25, 2017, from 2 p.m. – 8p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 26, 2017, 10 a.m., at Corpus Christi Church. Fr. Steven M. Palsa, will be the celebrant. Committal will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Leukemia Society of America, 333 E.
