William Ja'von Chaffin, 14, of McKeesport, Pennsylvania, departed Tuesday, April 25, 2017 in McKeesport.

He was born June 5, 2002 in Pittsburgh, loving son of William Joseph Chaffin, Jr. and Carin Monique Williams. William regularly attended Bethlehem Baptist Church.

He was in 8th grade McKeesport Middle School East End Academy, played football and basketball for both the McKeesport Tigers and Duquesne Duke. He also played on AAUU teams for both McKeesport Metro Basketball and Swin's Cash for Kids Basketball.

Survivors include mother, Carin Monique Williams; father, William Jospeh Caffin, Jr.; siblings, Day'Jour Chaffin, Taylor Chaffin, Kevari Martin, Kaieer Martin, Kevin Martin all of McKeesport; grandparents, Angelia (Kenneth) Critten of McKeesport; grandmother, Francheska Meade of McKeesport; grandfather, William Joseph Chaffin, Sr. of Duquesne; best friend, James Scottfield of McKeesport, loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.

Friends will be received Monday from 3-8
p.m.in the Bethlehem Baptist Church, 716 Walnut Street, McKeesport, Pennsylvania, 15132, where services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at with Rev. Earlene Coleman, officiating.

Interment will follow in the Grandview Cemetery, North Versailles.
