Emily A. Barr, 88, of Elizabeth Township, went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 15, 2016. She was born November 22, 1927 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Stella Tolgen Sebbens. She was the wife of the late Jack Edward Barr who died November 21, 2014. Emily was a member of the Greenock United Methodist Church and the Methodist Women, Joyful Bloomers Garden Club, Elizabeth Township Historical Society, Elizabeth Township Senior Citizens, and the McKeesport Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary.

She is survived by her daughters, Laura Barr of White Oak and Cynthia (Petros) Christofi of Greenock, and son, Timothy (Patti) Barr of Birdsboro. She was the loving grandmother of Alexis and John Christofi of Greenock. She is also survived by sisters-in-law, Mary Barr and Donna Jean Sebbens. Emily was preceded in death by her brothers, Joseph, Edward and John Sebbens. Friends are welcome Wednesday February 17 from 6-8 pm and Thursday February 18 from 2-6 pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday February 19 at 10:00 am, with The Rev. Edwin Pope, officiating. Inurnment will follow at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville.
