Janice L. LeWinter, age 79, of White Oak, died July 3, 2017, at UPMC McKeesport. Born May 14, 1938, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Edward Wilson and late Mary (Wargo) Wilson Borowitz. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Harry LeWinter.
Janice graduated from Divine Redeemer Academy in Elizabeth and went on to be an executive secretary at the University of Pittsburgh. She was a member of St. Angela Merici Church, St. Angela Merici Ladies of Charity and former Sacred Heart Ladies of Charity. Janice was a proud homemaker. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, survivors include son, Michael (Michelle) of Nipomo, CA; daughter, Mary Elizabeth (David) Machesky of Norvelt; grandchildren, Lucas, Hannah, Parker and Carly; nieces and nephews. Janice was preceded in death by brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Vicki Borowitz.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Kevin Dominik on Thursday, July 6th, 10:00 a.m., at St. Angela Church, White Oak. Family and friends are requested to meet at the church. Interment will be private at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Port Vue. Memories may be shared at www.jaycox-jaworskifh.com and memorials are suggested to St. Angela Ladies of Charity.
