Luella Jury Coward, 96, of Duquesne, Pennsylvania, passed away Friday, September 15, 2017 at home.
She was born July 11, 1921 in Alco, LA, daughter of the late Ellis and Lueana Jones Jury; she was the wife of the late Louis Coward, Sr. and was also preceded in death by sons, Johnnie Ray and Don Ellis Coward and grandsons.
She was a member of Oasis ministries and was a former member of Church of the Living God Pillar of Truths. She worked as a Caretaker for The Jewish Home of Pittsburgh and a Caretaker/Companion for the Pennsylvania Department of Aging; she also worked in the maintenance department at Kennywood Park, where she retired after sixteen years.
Left to cherish her memories are children, Lueana Coward and Louis (Tuwanna) Coward, Jr. of McKeesport, and Robert (Nancy) Coward of Jonesboro, GA and host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and loving family from Detroit and Virginia.
Friends will be received on Monday from 5-8 pm at Oasis Ministries, 2017 Pennsylvania Avenue
West Mifflin, Pennsylvania, where services will be held Tuesday at 11 am with Pastor Kim Lankford officiating.
Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, McKeesport, Pennsylvania.
