Dorothy Mae Walter, 86, of Elizabeth Township, died Friday, September 22, 2017. She was born April 10, 1931 in Jefferson Township and was the daughter of the late John W. and Edna E. Williams Greenewald. Dorothy was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church of Boston where she was a member of the choir and taught Sunday School for 60 years. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Robert N. Walter, sons, The Rev. R. Paul (Lorrie) Walter of Liberty Borough and Thomas C. (Deborah) Walter of Elizabeth Township, daughter, Jeanne (John) Hutchison of Jefferson Hills, sisters, Mary Godlewski of Perryopolis and The Rev. Joan (Armand) Rousseaux of Ringold, 7 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Friends are welcome Sunday, September 24 from 2-4 and 6-8:00 pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. (412) 751-5000 Drew J. Gilbert, director. Funeral service will be held Monday, September 25, at 11:00 am in the First United Presbyterian Church of Boston. The Rev. R. Paul Walter will officiate.
