Margery Lou Burns, 83, of Elizabeth Township, died Saturday, December 23, 2017 at home. She was born June 21, 1934 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late William A. and Jean C. Vernon Hacker. She was the wife of the late Richard "Dick" Thomas Burns, Jr., who died May 21, 2014. She is survived by her daughters, Cindy (Greg) Barton of North Huntingdon and Marcy Perkins of Forward Township, sister, Dianne (Hartley) King of Mount Vernon, grandchildren, Jamie (David) Diehl, Dana Barton, Amy (fiancée, Adam Gronau) Perkins, and Melissa and Ryan Perkins, great-grandchildren, Timothy and Jason Diehl and Makayla and Aiden Perkins, nieces and nephews.
Friends are welcome Wednesday, December 27 from 2-4 and 6-8:00 pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. (412) 751-5000 Drew J. Gilbert, director. Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, December 28 at 10:00 am with The Rev. W. Stephen Morse, officiating.
