Thomas ”Brewster” E. Bruse, age 64 of Butler, passed away on August 14, 2018 in Pittsburgh. Born, September 26, 1953 in Gloversville, NY and he stayed to graduate from Gloversville High School in 1971.

 After graduation he worked in the local Cayadutta Tanning Mill. Thomas was a veteran of the US Air Force where his love for cooking started. Once he was discharged from the Air Force he went on to study his trade at the Disney Culinary Arts. Thomas took his culinary skills to Columbus, OH and became the Executive Chef for the grand opening of the Buckeye Hall of Fame Café. He was also a sub contractor for the Iraqi embassy in Iraq where he you could find him teaching others his culinary skills. Thomas was preceded in death by his father, Edward H. Bruse. He is survived by his children; Bobbi Jo Wayman (Richard) of Summit, NY, Adam Bruse (Jennifer Cohen) of Kissimmee, FL, Barbara “Beth” Bruse (Jimmy Gill) of Tavares, Fl, Thomas Bruse and John “Johnny” Michael Bruse, both of Butler, PA, grandchildren; Andrew, Jacob, Sebastian, Nicholas and Annabelle, siblings; Steve Bruse, Edward “Punky” H. Bruse, Connie Edwards, Debbie Landers and Lori Despres-Sexton. Thomas is also survived by his mother Charlotte (Nourse) Goshe and nieces and nephews. At the request of the family, there will be a private celebration of life held for the family in NY.
