James Russell Dunbar, age 85, died on Saturday, September 15, 2018, at Riverside Care Center in McKeesport. Born July 2, 1933 in Tarrs, PA, he was the son of the late Frank and Mable (Farber) Dunbar, Sr. and is the husband of Katherine (Reza) Dunbar.

James Russell Dunbar, age 85, died on Saturday, September 15, 2018, at Riverside Care Center in McKeesport. Born July 2, 1933 in Tarrs, PA, he was the son of the late Frank and Mable (Farber) Dunbar, Sr. and is the husband of Katherine (Reza) Dunbar. James was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He retired in 1980 as a detective from the McKeesport Police Dept. and then retired from McKeesport Hospital Security, May 30, 1996. James was a life member of the F.O.P. Lodge #91 of Allegheny County, other memberships include the PA Association of Retired Police Officers, Polaris No. 375 F.& A. M. of McKeesport and Masonic Pin Club Police Lodge, Pittsburgh. In addition to his wife , he is survived by daughter, Diana (Denny) Arvay of Columbia, SC; stepchildren, Mary Ann Sforza of Corol Springs, FL, Bernadette Johnson of Greensburg, Deborah Molinari of McKeesport, Cathy Johnston of Ohio, Raymond Molinari of Gibsonia; grandson, Brandon Arvay; granddaughter, Jacqueline Arvay; sisters-in-law, Bernice Dunbar and Norma Reza; and best friend, Jim Carloss. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Frank Dunbar and sisters, Ann and Virginia; dogs, Bruno and Gina; and granddog, Nike. Committal service in Mill Grove Cemetery, West Newton, will be at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Willig Funeral Home & Crematory.
