Irving W. "Hud" Miller, age 87, of White Oak, died January 10. 2019, at Canterbury Place of Lawrenceville. Born June 24, 1931, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Thomas and Edna (Davies) Miller and the husband of Virginia Miller.

Irving retired from US Steel, where he worked as a security guard. He then retired from the McKeesport Area School District, where he was a school bus driver. Irving was a US Navy veteran, serving during the Korean War and a member of the White Oak American Legion Post # 701. He was a former member of Sampson's Mills Presbyterian Church of White Oak, where he was a Deacon. Irving enjoyed Pittsburgh sports, although his greatest joy was spending time with his family. In addition to his second wife Virginia, Irving is survived by his son, Major General, Dr. Robert I. (Laura) Miller, USAF stationed in Washington D.C.; grandchildren, Addie, Jesse and Zachary; siblings, William Miller of McKeesport and Shirley Hendrickson of FL; also nieces and nephews, too many to list. Irving was also preceded in death by his first wife, Mildred (Stikovac) Miller; brothers, Thomas and Edwin. Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home Crematory on Sunday, January 13, 2019, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Monday, 1 p.m., in the funeral home chapel.
