Vincent Palmer, Jr., age 88, of McKeesport, died May 2, 2019, at Canterbury Place of Lawrenceville. Born December 31, 1930, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Vincent and Rosaria (Previtera) Palmer and the husband of the late Elizabeth "Betty" (Campbell) Palmer for over 58 years.

Vince retired from US Steel National Tube Works, where he worked in the shipping department. He was a member of the First Christian Church of McKeesport. Vince was also a member of the Sons of Italy Club of Glassport and the Sutersville Moose Lodge #138. He took great pride in volunteering at the LifeSpan senior citizens center at Olympia Shopping Center in McKeesport. Although, his greatest joy was spending time with his family.
Vince is survived by his children, Betty Lou (John Ruffing) Stone of Natrona Heights, Joseph Palmer of Bremerton, WA, Vincent (Gloria) Palmer of Natrona Heights and Louis (Mary Castelli) Palmer of Penn Hills; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; also nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents, Vince was also preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Pamela Palmer; grandson, Nic Stone and siblings.
Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Sunday, May 5, 2019, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be celebrated on Monday, 10 a.m., at First Christian Church, 1025 McCleary St., McKeesport, PA 15132. Pastor Ray Beard will be the celebrant. Burial will follow in Mt Vernon Cemetery.
