Richard E. Matibe, age 80 of Mckeesport died September 12, 2019 at UPMC McKeesport. Born January 20, 1939 in Mckeesport, he was the son of the late Herman Matibe and Coral (Pierce) Matibe.
Richard retired from the Pittsburgh Athletic Association and formally worked for Tygart Steel. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a member of the White Oak American Legion post 701. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his daughters, Terri Matibe-Agona of McKeesport and Carrie (Joseph) Martinelli of White Oak; grandchildren, Eric Agona, Stephanie Agona, Ashley Agona, Kristin (David) Rolf and Adam Martinelli; great-grandchildren, Kaycee and Jordan; brother, Robert (Rosemary) Matibe of Irwin; brother-in-law James Curtis Reon of  Beaumont, TX; and many nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his sister, Elizabeth "Betty" Reon.
Arrangements were entrusted to Willig Funeral Home and Crematory.
