Dolores Rita McCusker, 88, of White Oak, died Monday June 27, 2016 at home. She was born October 16, 1927 in McKeesport, and was the daughter of the late Stanley and Francis "Granny" Kaminski. She was the wife of the late Joseph E. McCusker who died January 29, 2016. They were married for 63 years. She was a member of Corpus Christi Parish and also made Prayer Shawls for the church.
She is survived by her daughters, Georgene (Robert) Bingman of Etters, Carol McCusker and Donna (Jeff) Diak of North Huntingdon, sons, Robert J. (Mary) McCusker of Penn Township, Ken (Laura) McCusker of North Huntingdon, and Wayne (Teresa) McCusker of White Oak, grandchildren, Zachary Bingman, Dr. Hannah Bingman (Dr. Michael) Mudrick, Andrayea Bingman (Dr. Daniel) Contract, Lisa (Ryan) Jones, Shaun (Katie) McCusker, Devin (Fiancée, Emily Getty) McCusker, Brianne (Jen Erickson) McCusker, Kyra (Dan Kelly) McCusker, Mikayla Diak and Nick Diak, great-grandchildren, Brenden Mudrick, Dakotah, Alexis, Abigail, and Jacob Jones, Lucas and Nash McCusker, Royce Jackson, Piper Kelly and Logan Contract, nieces, nephews, her cat Lea, and her faithful dog, Alex. She was preceded in death by her Aunt Cassie and Uncle John. Friends are welcome from 2-4 and 6-8 pm, Thursday June 30 at the GILBERT FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, INC. 1638 Lincoln Way, White Oak. (412-672-6322) Troy J. Gilbert, Director. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Corpus Christi Catholic Church on Friday July 1 at 12:30 PM with The Rev. Michael Maranowski, officiating. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the White Oak Animal Safe Haven, 2295 Lincoln Way, White Oak, 15131.
