Betty M. Powell, age 94, of Turtle Creek, passed away December 12, 2020, at home with her family by her side. Born July 22, 1926, in Penn Township., she was the daughter of the late William and Elsie (Cramer) Holtzer.

Betty worked as a nanny for many friends and family throughout her life. She also enjoyed the interaction of patrons in the restaurant business. She devoted her life to caring for her children and grandchildren. Betty enjoyed Polka music, dancing, gardening, cooking, home remodeling, and Pittsburgh sports (especially the Pirates).

She is survived by her children; Patricia (Vince) Kadlubek of Greensburg, Thomas McNair of Turtle Creek, Vicki Schantz of North Versailles, Wendy Rees of Turtle Creek, and Betty Jean Cooksey (Donny) of Charleston, SC; 9 grandchildren; Pam Kadlubek (Becky), Brian (Lisa) Kadlubek, Kevin (Pam) Kadlubek, James (Linda) McNair, Danya (Scott) Matthews, Austin Schantz, Kristy (Tony) Little, Edward Rees, Kelly Rees (Mark), 8 great-grandchildren; Sarah Kadlubek, Brady Kadlubek, Anna Kadlubek, Kyle Kadlubek, Kayla Kadlubek, Tristan Matthews, Kyle Kendall, Everly Little, brother; William Holtzer of Greensburg; also nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sons; James McNair and Jeff Cowoski.
Betty had the ability to touch and change the lives of everyone she met. Her personality would light up the room wherever she went.
