Karen Jean Pirl, 63, of Irwin passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at her home. She was born June 29, 1957 in Greensburg, a daughter of Bonnie Roberts Johnson and the late Carl Johnson. Prior to her retirement, Karen was the office manager for N. Huntingdon Rescue 8 and a member of Calvary Assembly of God. She enjoyed reading and loved being with her family and spending time with her grandchild. She is survived by her husband, Robert Pirl; sons, Robert Jr. and his wife, Annie, Nicholas; daughters, Kelly Pirl, Molly Hamovich and her husband, Greg; brothers, John Johnson and Carl (Ann) Johnson; sisters, Cindy (Ken) Olesky, Terri (Mark) Klingensmith; and granddaughter, Piper.
Friends will be received on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, PA. A prayer service will take place at 7:30 p.m. with Pastor Nick Poole officiating. Funeral service, Friday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Assistant Pastor John Tirpak officiating.
