Shirley M. "Sissy" (Suncine) Haidle, age 84, of Dayton, PA, went on to be with the Lord on January 30, 2021. Born July 24, 1936, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Peter Suncine and Margaret (Stotler) Suncine Serdy and the wife of the late Glenn A. Haidle Jr.
Shirley had several jobs in her early years, such as Feig's Bakery, Bud's Red Hot, Nigro's Restaurant, and Sabin's Glass. She was a longtime member of McKeesport Assembly of God Church, where she taught Sunday school. Later on, Shirley then dedicated her life to caring for her family. In her free time, she enjoyed reading her bible, crafting, bowling, going to Kennywood, fishing, and camping. Above all, Shirley's priority in life was spending time with her family.
Shirley is survived by her daughters, Bonnie Walston (Eva Ochap) of Jeanette, Joanie Haidle of Dayton, PA, and Glenda (Jason) Nimal of Dayton, PA; son, Curtis (Michelle) Walston of Penn Hills; brothers, David (Margaret) Suncine of North Versailles and Rudy (JoAnn) Pipich of McKeesport; grandchildren, David (Nicole) Hamer, Matthew (Dana) Walston, Jason, Lucas, Joseph, and Bret Nimal; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is also survived by step-children, Dawn (Tim) Stipanovic, Vicki (Bruce) Strope, Marsha (R.D.) Thomason and Jeffrey Haidle, all of Florida and Rob (Zoila) Walston of Austin, TX; and many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Ronald and Joseph Suncine.
Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Wednesday, February 3, 2021, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be on Thursday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. The Reverend Galen Winebrenner will officiate. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery.
Shirley's family would like to thank and acknowledge all of the hospice nurses, staff, and caregivers; Dani, Stephanie, Shonna, and Samantha, who graciously cared for our beloved mother over the years.
