William H. Potter, age 76, of White Oak, died March 1, 2021, at UPMC McKeesport. Born July 9, 1944, in Wilkinsburg, he was the son of the late John and Ruth (Ginther) Potter and the husband of Darlene (Grott) Potter.

William retired from Case Works, where he was an estimator. He also worked at Westinghouse Electric up until they closed and H & R Block in quality control. William was a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish and attended St. Patrick Church, where he was a Eucharistic Minister for 25 years. He was a graduate of the Turtle Creek High School Class of 1962 and earned his Associate Degree in accounting in 1993 from CCAC Boyce campus. He was also a US Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War and a member of the White Oak American Legion Post #701. William was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler's football fan and golfer. He was a member of the Tuesday Golf League, and the Roaring 20's Golf League. He enjoyed puzzles, casinos, lottery scratch-offs, and most of all, his family camp in the Allegheny National Forest, where he camped and hunted with family and friends.
In addition to his wife, William is survived by his children, Jennie (Samuel) DeStephano of Columbus, OH, Jessica (Robert) Heintz of Trafford, and William (Jacquelyn) Potter of Trafford; grandchildren, Zachary, and Alexander Heintz, Olivia, and Matthew Potter; brothers, Leroy E. Potter of Penn Hills and Randy John (MaryJo) Potter of McKeesport; brother-in-law, Samuel (Amy) Grott of Irwin; niece, Michelle (Patrick) Colbert; nephew, Michael (Beth) Potter; and cousins.
Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Friday, March 5, 2021, from 3 to 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, 10 a.m., at St. Patrick's Church, please follow link below to attend through Zoom meeting. Committal prayers, military honors, and burial will follow in New St. Joseph's Cemetery.
