Margaret (Knight) Shegan (née Chuhanich), 94, of McKeesport, passed peacefully at home among family on Tuesday, March 23, 2021. She was born February 18, 1927 in Hollidays Cove, West Virginia. She was the wife of the late David J. Shegan, who passed away April 18, 1979. “Margie” graduated from McKeesport High School in 1945. As a young woman she worked as a camera girl at the Vogue Terrace in North Versailles and subsequently in the mail room at the Irvin Works before starting a family with her husband. Margie was a member of St. Sava Orthodox Church in McKeesport, where she was a former member of The Young at Heart's group. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and gardening. She loved traveling, beach vacations and annual family reunion weekends.

She is survived by her son, David Shegan, daughter, Cindy Shegan Keeley and son-in-law, Terry Keeley. She also leaves behind loving grandchildren, Amy (Glen) Shegan-Siniawski and Dylan (Rebecca Lewis) Keeley, as well as her adoring great-grandchildren, Cole, Rory, Nevin and Brynn. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Anne Sarisky, her son Ronald Shegan and daughter-in-law Anita Feith. Friends are welcome on Thursday, March 25,  from 2:00 - 4:00 pm & 6:00 - 8:00 pm at the GIlbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Twp., (412) 751-5000 Drew J. Gilbert, Director. Funeral service will be held Friday, March 26, at 11:00 am in the funeral home chapel with The Very Rev. Stevo Rocknage, officiating.
