Richard "Rich" D. Grygo age 77, of McKeesport, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2021, at Riverside Care Center. Born August 31, 1943, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Chester and Elizabeth (Lovasz) Grygo and the husband of Antonette (Cottone) Grygo of 50 years.
Rich was very proud to have been a Hospital Corpsman, Third Class with the United States Navy. He retired from the McKeesport School District and worked for Westinghouse prior. Rich was an avid race car driver in the Claiming Divisions in Western PA, racing his #11 car. He also was a member of the White Oak American Legion Post 701.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Richelle (Todd) Eiseman, and his beloved dog, Boogzy.
In addition to his parents, Rich was preceded in death by his brother, James Grygo.
Family and friends will be received for a memorial gathering at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Tuesday, June 15, 2021, from 6-8 p.m.
Rich will be inurned in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies at a later date.
Rich's family would like to thank the staff at Riverside Care Center in McKeesport for taking great care of Rich over the last couple of months.
