Richard Edward Kmetz, 82, of McKeesport, passed away Saturday, July 17, 2021. He was born July 31, 1938 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Edward and Eleanor (Francis) Kmetz. He was a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish, Corpus Christi Church, McKeesport. He was retired from McKeesport High School Security and had also worked at the former US Steel National Tube Works. ]]

He is survived by his son, Anthony Joseph Kmetz and grandson, Connor Joseph Kmetz of North Huntingdon, step-son, Richard (Tracy) Kovesdy of Port Vue, step-daughter, Laurie Kennedy of North Huntingdon, brother, Donald (the late Patricia) Kmetz of McKeesport, nieces, Hope Kmetz, Lisa (Jon) Anderson and Amy (Jay) Kmetz, and a nephew, Edward (the late Sharon) Kmetz. Friends are welcome Tuesday, July 20, 2021 from 6-8 pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1638 Lincoln Way,White Oak. (412) 672-6322 Troy J. Gilbert, director.
