Frank Barreiro, 83, of Greenock, passed away Friday, August 6, 2021. He was born November 16, 1937 in Universal and was the son of the late Florencio and Mary (Vales) Barreiro. He was a member of Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Greenock, and was a US Army Veteran. He was retired from Advanced Metallurgy and had previously worked at the former US Steel Duquesne Works.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Elizabeth (Schweickert) Barreiro, sons, Frank Arthur (Maggie) Barreiro of West Newton, Timothy John (Mary L.) Barreiro of Youngstown, OH, and Anthony David (Kathy Flick) Barreiro of Charlotte, NC, grandchildren, Carl Hanselman and Erica (Pruitt) Polimeni, great-grandchildren, Carter and Jon Polimeni, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Joseph "Sonny", Florenz "Bud" and Paul Barreiro. Friends are welcome Monday, August 9, 2021 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. (412) 751-5000 Drew J.
