Paula Jean Pope, 61, of Hempfield Township, passed away Friday, September 17, 2021. She was born August 20, 1960 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late John F. Trepanowski and Betty (Kovalyak) Trepanowski of White Oak. She worked numerous jobs throughout her life, but most recently worked as an office manager at Hydro Technical Services in Elizabeth. She was a huge supporter of our veterans and belonged to the Ladies Auxiliary at The Port Vue American Legion Post 447. She was also a member of The West Hempfield American Legion Post 53 and The Wendel-Herminie Athletic Association. She loved camping, campfires and poker machines. Paula also loved spending time with her relatives and friends. She will be greatly missed.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 9 years, James W. "Jim" Pope, brother, John (Casi) Trepanowski, nephews, John Michael (Janell) Filson, Justin (Rebecca) Filson, Casey (Kelly) Filson, Dennis Filson, Jr.and John Francis Trepanowski, nieces, Abbey Miller,Meghan (Frank) Walker and Amanda and Nicole Trepanowski, sisters-in-law, Holly Pope and Cheryl (Gary) Stokes, brother-in-law, Harry L. Pope, Jr., her dog and loving companion, Jethro, aunts, uncles, cousins, many great-nieces and nephews and many friends. She joins her sister in heaven, Deborah Filson who passed away Saturday, September 18, 2021 and in addition to her father, she was preceded by her special brother-in-law, Dennis Filson, who passed away November 10, 2017. Paula's wish was to not have visitation. A memorial picnic will be held at a later date.
