Deborah M. "Debbie"  Filson, 64, of North Huntingdon, passed away, Saturday, September 18, 2021 at home surrounded by her family. She was born March 13, 1957 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late John F. Trepanowski and Betty (Kovalyak) Trepanowski of  White Oak.  She was the wife of the late Dennis J. Filson, Sr., who passed away November 10, 2017.   Debbie was a staff member of the UPMC McKeesport Cancer Center, and would later work at Home Depot for a short time.  Debbie was a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish at their Corpus Christi Worship Site.  She was a proud member of The Click Clack Club. Debbie also was a surrogate mother to Truck Company Marines.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by sons, John Michael (Janell) Filson of Castle Shannon and Justin M. (Rebecca) Filson of Irwin, step-sons, Dennis J. Filson, Jr., Casey J. (Kelley) Filson both of McKeesport, grandchildren, Eden, Owen, McKenna, Patrick, Gavin, Jackson, Josie and John Jr., Cheyenne and another grandbaby on the way, brother, John (Casi) Trepanowski,  brothers-in-law, Jim Pope of Hempfield and Duane (JoAnne) Filson of Ligonier, as well as nieces and nephews. In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her sister, Paula Jean Pope, who passed away one day before her on September 17, 2021.  Friends are welcome on Tuesday, September 21,from 2:00 - 4:00 pm and 6:00 - 8:00 pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1638 Lincoln Way, White Oak, (412)672-6322 Troy J. Gilbert, Director.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, September 22, at 10:00 AM at Mary, Mother of God, Corpus Christi Site.
