Obituaries | The Tube City Almanac | November 18, 2021

Jace Gerlando Benedek, 14, of Elizabeth Twp, passed away Monday, November 15, 2021. He was born April 12, 2007 in Pittsburgh and was the son of Bobbi Jo Lawson of Elizabeth Twp., and the late John T. Benedek, Jr. Jace was a 9th grade student at Elizabeth Forward High School. He loved to hunt, fish, and to ride quads. He enjoyed football, golf, playing Xbox, and RC Cars, especially with his late father. Jace was a loving and affectionate person who made it a point to make people smile, while also "busting their balls", aggravating and antagonizing them while lighting up the room. He loved being with his family and friends. He really enjoyed eating while simultaneously planning on what his next meal would be. He was known for breaking everything he touched. Jace loved visiting the cabins at Yough Lake and Mt. Davis, where he loved spending time with "Mt. Davis family". He also enjoyed squeezing money out of his Uncle Jeff, who he affectionately called "Uncle Cheapo". Jace loved to "whoop it up" with the weekend gang, Cam Homa, and Brooke and Mason Markland. He was an amazing kid who loved life and will be profoundly missed.
