Ethel J. Hansen, of McKeesport passed on August 27, 2016, at McMurray Hills Manor. Born June 29, 1925 in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Catherine (Ott) Clark and the wife of the late Christ “Swede” Hansen. During Ethel's 91 years of life she expressed the love of animals, music and dancing to rock-n-roll. She gifted these passions onto her children. She especially enjoyed feeding the birds and welcomed it as a daily ritual.

Ethel is survived by children, Thelma (Robert, Jr.) Hansen-Musser of Bradenton Florida, Terri (Martin) Reott of North Versailles, Dagmar Oglesby of Eighty Four, Loretta Hansen of White Oak, Diane Hansen of North Versailles, Kristian Hansen of Manassas Virginia, and William Hansen of McKeesport; 10 grandchildren; great grandchildren; also nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Ethel is now reunited with her siblings; Harry, Eugene, Jim, Jack, Walt, John, Glendora, and Frances; and son-in-law Bob Oglesby.
Family and friends will be received at Willig Funeral Home & Crematory on Tuesday August, 30 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Services will be held Wednesday August, 31 at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Father Bruce Sleczkowski will be officiating. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Park.
