Bernice Lucille "Lu" Koon, 93, of Port Vue, passed away Monday, January 3, 2022. She was born August 23, 1928 in Apollo and was the daughter of the late Charles and Mildred (Armstrong) Edwards. She was the wife of the late Gordon Eynon Koon who passed away March 26, 2010. She was a member of Port Vue United Methodist Church and the FOD Women's Club there.

She is survived by her children, Charles Gordon (Sharon) Koon, John Robert (Cindy) Koon and Bonnie Joanne (Rev. Edwin) Pope of Port Vue, grandchildren, Sean E. Koon, Traci Lynn Koon, Joshua (Amy) Koon, Rebecca Joanne (Tracey) Pope-Ruark, Jayne Elizabeth (Kyle) Ferkett and Derrick James (Karyn) Pope, great-grandchildren, Mayah, Jordan, Ethan, Teagan, Georgina and Devyn, Ana, Bri and Ellie and nephews, Ian and Paul. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Thomas Gordon Koon and sister Jane Sigler. Private visitation and service took place Thursday, January 6, 2022 at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. (412) 751-5000 Drew J.
