James Joseph Kohl, age 69, of Export, peacefully went to the Lord on February 13, 2022. Born June 28, 1952, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Nellie (Glodowski) Kohl and husband of Lynn (Toth) Kohl for 46 years. Jim graduated from Penn State University in 1974 with an Accounting Degree, where he also played on the McKeesport division of the Penn State Baseball Team. Jim was always proud of his McKeesport roots. He worked as a controller at various manufacturing facilities in the Tri-State Area. Jim was an avid classic car enthusiast and loved to listen to oldies music at local car cruises.
In addition to his wife Lynn, Jim is survived by a son, Joshua (Brittany) Kohl; cherished grandsons, Camden and Gavin Kohl; loving sisters, Joan (Bob) Boot and Nancy Berletic; sister-in-law, Terrie Kohl; brother-in-law, Larry Dansak. He will be missed by numerous family members, including, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Linda Dansak; brother, Kenneth Kohl and brother-in-law, Larry Berletic. Family and friends will be received at Willig Funeral Home & Crematory on Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. at Corpus Christi Church. Burial will follow at McKeesport and Versailles Cemetery. Condolences and memories may be shared at www.willigfuneralcremationservices.com. As per Jim’s wishes, memorial contributions are suggested to a charity of one’s choice in lieu of flowers.
