Tanea Danette Kunf Potter, 50, of McKeesport, formerly of Buena Vista, died Friday September 9, 2016 at home after 4 years of an incredible, courageous battle with cancer. She has gone to her heavenly home. Tanea was born April 22, 1966 in McKeesport and is remembered as a loving daughter to Charles (Butch) and Judith Kunf of Kure Beach, NC. Tanea is the beloved mother of Virginia Lee Quiggle, Kristal Lynn (Derek) Johnson , Cara Ann Quiggle, Heather Dannette Quiggle, and Laurabelle Cole. She is the sister of Laura Lee (David) Kendziora of Kure Beach, NC., Karen (Cotton) Davenport of Elizabeth Township, and Kimberley (Wayne) Werkmeister of West Mifflin.

In addition to being a blessed Mamaw to Alexa, Bryson, Ryder, Mariah, Natalia, Chase and Annabelle, she is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles, along with her grandmother Dorothy "Dottie" Booth of Florida. Tanea was preceded in death by grandchildren, Niko Conner and Marissa Renee, along with her grandmothers, Laurabelle Kunf (GrandmaBelle), and Trudy Norris (Grammie), and grandfather, Edward Booth. Tanea loved life. She was an avid pool player, belonging to Mon-Valley 8 Ball League "Chuggers", and loved riding motorcycles. Most of all she loved her girls more than life and adored her grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to a celebration of her life at Buena Vista Fire Hall, 3333 Fire Station St., Buena Vista on Monday, September 12th from 4:00 - 7:00 pm. A special Thank you to Chuck Hoak for all your concern and comfort you provided Tanea, and Gateway Hospice, especially Janet and the kind nurses for all the love they showed Tanea in her transition into her next life.
