On September 2, 2022, God called Home his faithful servant and son, John Joseph “Jack” Rahaw, 87, of Manassas, VA.  Born October 11, 1934, in East Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late John and Ann (Salatney) Rahaw and the husband of the late Genevieve Michelle (Yasofsky) Rahaw for more than 50 years. 
Jack retired from Georator Corporation after 35 years as an electrical engineer, during which time he helped develop the electrical grid for the country of Bahrain.  He was a proud veteran of the United States Army, serving six years in both the United States and (West) Germany as a field artilleryman in the 3rd Infantry Division.  Jack was also an alumnus of Carnegie Mellon University. Jack will forever be remembered for his unending generosity, his complete and total faith in God, his kind and loving nature and his gift of extreme intelligence.  He will be sorely missed by all who were blessed to have known him.

Jack is survived by his brother, Thomas (Bonnie) Rahaw, several nieces and nephews, his special sister-in-law Jeanie (Ed) Trax and devoted friend, Jayne Glass and her daughter, Shannon (Jake) Jacobs. 
In addition to his wife and parents he was also preceded in death by his sister, Elaine DeMarino.
Family and friends may be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be 1 p.m. at Mary, Mother of God Corpus Christi Church in McKeesport.
Committal prayers will follow in New Saint Joseph Cemetery.
