Salomea "Sally" Ann  Prailey, 87, of Boston, passed away Friday, September 30, 2022 at home. She was born August 22, 1935 in Boston and was the daughter of the late Anthony and Josephine (Martinaitis) Wroblewski Snyder. She was the wife of the late Frederick R. Prailey who passed away February 26, 2010. They were married for 56 years. Sally was a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish, St. Patrick Church in Christy Park. She was an Administrative Assistant to the District Manager at the former J.C. Penny Co. in the Eastland Mall, She worked there from 1967 to 1997. She had previously worked at McKeesport AAA, Helmsteder's, and Balsamo's. Sally was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was an excellent homemaker and loved to cook, bake, and make candy. She was also a seamstress and made clothes for herself, her daughter and even made miniature Barbie Doll clothing. She loved her cats, reading, gardening and watching the history and educational channels. She enjoyed knitting, crochet, crossword puzzles and motorcycling with her husband. She was quick witted, ornery, and extremely strong willed. She was an impeccable dresser and loved sweets and chocolate. Sally and Fred loved to travel and were once labeled "The Travel Couple" by the former McKeesport Daily News.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen M. Abels of Boston, grandsons, Rowdy J. (Courtney) Abels of Youngville, NC., Adam J. (Kristen) Abels of Pleasant Hills, and Jordan F. (Tracy) Abels of Goose Creek, SC., great-grandchildren, Skylar A. Abels, Brayden F. Abels, J.J. Abels, Rylan Abels, Brian Abels and Aubrey Abels, cousin, Vicky (Marty) Williams of Versailles and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Marian Marcoff, great-granddaughter, Allysa Abels, nephew, Michael Marcoff and a niece, Lisa Marcoff. Friends are welcome Tuesday, October 4, 2022 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township.(412) 751-5000 Drew J. Gilbert, director. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at 10 am at Mary, Mother of God Parish- St. Patrick Church. Inurnment will follow at Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Township. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 600 Waterfront Drive Pittsburgh PA 15222 or Meals on Wheels at 100 Timothy Drive, Elizabeth PA 15037.
