Verajane Marion Dixon, age 84, of Cape Vincent, formerly of McKeesport, died on Thursday, October 13, 2022 surrounded by her family. She was born in Braddock on October 3, 1938 and is the daughter of the late Frederick and Vera Custer Johannes, and the wife of the late James Danny Dixon. She retired as the manager at the previous Lindsley Personal Care Home in McKeesport.
She is survived by her children, Juanita (the late Alex) Findrick of McKeesport; James Bryan of Dravosburg; Christina (Douglas) Flora of North Versailles; Cindy Bryan of Colorado Springs, CO; Vera (Rege) Hovan of East McKeesport; Tod (Becky) Bryan of Buena Vista; Troy (Sissy) Bryan of Cape Vincent, NY; Inez (Thomas) Burgman of North Huntingdon; 27 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; sister, Arlene (Paul) Snyder of Irwin; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Elfreda McFarland and Lyda (the late Butch) Hutinson.
Family and friends will gather at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177) on Monday, October 17, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Charles Owston officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Vernon Cemetery.
