Kathleen P. "Kathy" Swartz

Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory

Obituaries | The Tube City Almanac | October 14, 2022

Kathleen P. "Kathy" Swartz age 72, of McKeesport, was called Home to our Lord on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, from Kane Community Living Center. Born in McKeesport, October 22, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Francis “Frank” and Joyce (Hrapchak) Casey.

After 27 years with Allegheny County’s Real Estate Department, Kathy retired to more leisurely days spent volunteering, going to church, and relaxing. Kathy was a faithful member of the Beulah Park United Methodist Church, held a special interest in Sci-Fi books, and had a love for TV shows and movies new and old. Her favorite hobbies included playing games on her phone, arts and crafts activities, and if asked to share her fondest memory, I’m sure she’d be quick to respond “watching the dolphins”, “going to Florida”, or “watching the dolphins in Florida.”
Kathy is survived by her daughter, Desiree (Miles "Joey" Flowers) Swartz; grandchildren, Cherri (Robert Ferrari) Halfhill and Brandi Halfhill; great-granddaughter, Lyric Washington; sister, Michelle Macanic; and her dog, Bella.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Charles Swartz and grandson, Andrew McGee.
Family and friends may be received on Friday, October 21, 2022 from 2 p.m. till the funeral service at 4 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
Memorial contributions are suggested in Kathy’s memory to Beulah Park United Methodist Church or an organization of one’s choosing in lieu of flowers.
