Penelope O. Washington Salih, 79, of McKeesport, peacefully Friday, November 18, 2016 in Riverside Care Center.

Born January 21, 1937 in Pittsburgh, daughter of the late William and Inez Pounds Washington. She was preceded in death by son, Joel Salih and step-mother, Anna Washington.

She was the loving wife of Omar Salih, and was a devoted member of Member of Christian Missionary Alliance, where she was a Sunday school teacher, Choir member, and Alliance woman. She also worked as a Teacher's Aide for McKeesport Area School District.

Survivors include, husband of sixty-four years Omar Salih; children, Karen (Walter) Nance of Pittsburgh, Sharon Renee (Mark) Shaw, Anna Tobe, Aaron "Bill" (Darlene) Salih all of McKeesport, Lois (Anthony) Lucas of Charlotte, NC; sister, Ophelia (Edgar) Thompson of Toledo, OH; seventeen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Friends will be received Friday from 4-8 p.m. at the Robert A. Waters Funeral Home, 2326 Jenny Lind Street, McKeesport, Pennsylvania. Services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Webster Avenue Christian Missionary Alliance, 2325 Webster Avenue, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with Rev. Andrew J. Jackson, officiating.

Interment will follow in the McKeesport & Versailles Cemetery.
