Barbara Louise "Babs" Campbell, 78, of Greenock, died Tuesday February 28, 2017. She was born May 4, 1938 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late Ralph and Roberta E. Dunlap Johnston. She was a member of the Greenock United Methodist Church, Lifespan and AARP. Barbara worked for Equibank for several years. Later, she became a home health caregiver which she did the rest of her life.

She blessed so many families through the years with the warm and loving way she took care of their loved ones. God gifted "Babs" with a compassionate and loving heart which showed in everything she did. She was a devoted mother, fun loving grandmother and sweet "big gaga" to her great-grandchildren. The most important thing to Babs was her family. If you weren't family, she made you feel like you were. She touched the lives of so many people. The world has lost a sweet lady. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by her sons, Edward J. (Bette Rae) Campbell, Jr. and Keith H. (Kimberley) Campbell of Greenock, Kirk W. (Dorothy) Campbell of Versailles, daughter, Wendy A. (Mark Castor) McBride of Greenock, son-in-law, Gerry (Cindy) McBride of Greenock, sister, Sandy (Stephen) Sopko of Rilton, Mary Lee (Charles) Barker of White Oak, and Judith Ann (Eugene) Uhlig of Orlando, FL, sister-in-law, Dolores Johnston of North Huntingdon, granddaughters, Heather (Steve) Clement, Haley (Tony) Mollica, Olivia, Julia, Portia, and Celia McBride, and Emma Campbell, great-grandchildren, Kaelah, Lily and Molly Clement, and Giovanni, Sofia, Santino and Amilio Mollica, nieces, nephews, and dearest of friends, Pat Anderson, Margie Karnes and Patty Rojohn-Spotts. She was predeceased by son, Todd Campbell and brother, Ralph Johnston. Friends are welcome Thursday March 2 from 6-8 pm and Friday March 3 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 1638 Lincoln Way, White Oak (412) 672-6322 Troy J. Gilbert, Director. Service will be held Saturday March 4 at 10 am at the Greenock United Methodist Church with The Rev. Ed Pope, officiating.
