Mildred Scales, 89, of Fallston, MD passed away Saturday, February 27, 2016. She was born February 4, 1927 in Boston and was the daughter of the late John W. and Alberta Cargo Mains. She was the wife of the late George A. Scales who died January 16, 1995. Mildred was a retired employee of the State of Maryland. She was a former member of the Boston United Methodist Church. Mildred is survived by a son, Richard A. Scales of Fallston, MD, daughters, Janet (Lacy) Baldwin of Gallipolis, OH and Cathy (Thomas) Tennyson of Clarington, OH, grandchildren, Frank, Paul, and Mary Beth Baldwin, and Shana Tennyson and nine great-grandchildren.

Friends are welcome Thursday, March 3 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday, March 4 at 1 pm with Pastor Jody Dausey officiating. Interment will follow at the Mount Vernon Cemetery.
