Alexis Lynn Worrall, age 77, of White Oak, PA, died on Tuesday, August 26, 2025. She was born in Greensburg, PA, on September 16, 1947, and is the daughter of the late Donald and Margy Colaneri Thompson. She worked in the McKeesport Area School District for many years.

MaryAnn Harvilla, age 93, of McKeesport, died on August 24, 2025, at Redstone Highlands. Born March 19, 1932 in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Krehel) Korinko and wife of the late William Harvilla.
MaryAnn was retired from the proof department of Equibank. MaryAnn enjoyed meeting with her friends for lunch and also talking with friends and playing bingo at Hilltoppers Club in East McKeesport and North Versailles Seniors.

Loretta E. (Abraitis) Nothdurft, age 74 of Whitehall, passed away at home on Saturday, August 23, 2025. Born January 17, 1951 in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late Michael J. and Mabel E. (Hagen) Abraitis, Jr. A retired pharmacy technician, most recently for UPMC Mercy Hospital, Loretta was also preceded in death by her husband, the late Peter J. Nothdurft. She is survived by her children Heather (Richard) Graham and Heidi Nothdurft; her grandchildren Hananiah Graham, Charlotte (Andrew) Mellinger, Abigail Graham, Shane (Benae) Coburn, Douglas Coburn, and Makayla (Duwon Terrell) Coburn; her great-grandchildren Isabelle and Alivia Coburn and Duwon, Jr. and Allure Terrell; her brothers Michael and David Abraitis; her sister Susan Maria (the late Jack) Cokain; and also nieces and nephews.

Linda L. Beck, age 75 of Greensboro, passed away on Friday, August 22, 2025 in WVU Health Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. Born January 6, 1950 in Canonsburg, she was a daughter of the late James Walter Beck and Nellie Opal (Frum) Beck. A graduate of the Pittsburgh Beauty Academy and employed at the Liberty Candy Co. for more than 20 years, Linda enjoyed roller skating in her younger years and loved to crochet, play bingo, do jigsaw puzzles, observe butterflies and wildlife outside of her home, feed the hummingbirds that would visit, and root on the Steelers. Most of all, she loved the time spent with her family. She was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed. Linda is survived by her daughter Kimmi (Douglas) Graboski of McKeesport; her grandchildren Sara (Nathan) Burnau of San Diego, CA and Nathan (Cassidy Chappell) of McKeesport; her great-grandchildren Bodhi and Sebastian; her sister Karen (Bob) Kelly of Greensboro; and also many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Jerry, James Jr., Thomas, and Terry Beck and also two of her nephews.

Lynda Gail "GG" Gantt, 75, of Elizabeth Township passed away Sunday, August 24, 2025. She was born in McKeesport on November 25, 1949 to the late Clyde and June (McLean) Howell. "Gantt" as most people called her during her career, worked for 40+ years at US Steel in the Accounts Payable department. She created life-long friends, who eventually became family, with endless memories. Even after retirement and up until just recently, they would all get together to catch up and grab lunch. The best way to describe Gantt is... "fast cars & loud music - she was a rocker." GG is survived by her daughter, Shawna (Garry) Boden of Elizabeth Township; grandchildren, Talyn (Shannon Potter) Boden of Jamestown, and Tyler (Taylor) Boden of Versailles; as well as her brother, Robert (Patricia) Howell of Elizabeth Township; a niece and two nephews. Alma Ann Hoffman, 74, of Elizabeth Township, passed away Sunday, August 24, 2025. She was born February 4, 1951 and grew up in Clairton and was the daughter of the late Daniel C. and Alma R. (Thompson) McCormick. She was the wife of 40 years to the late Dale Robert Hoffman, who passed away September 7, 2010. Alma was a member and one of the founders of New Hope Assembly of God, in Elizabeth Township and had recently been attending Friendship Community Presbyterian Church in Pittsburgh with her second husband, Jack. Alma was a graduate of Clairton High school. Alongside her first husband Dale, she founded many businesses in our area including Duquesne House Personal Care Home, Cornerstone Day Care, Riverview Personal Care, Fallen Timber Stables and was proprietor of Senior Care Plaza in McKeesport. Most importantly, Alma was an excellent wife, mother, grandmother, and friend and will be greatly missed.

Thelma Rea Milcic, 85 of Duquesne passed away August 22, 2025. She was born October 6, 1939 in Pittsburgh to the late Ray and Theresa (Piller) Milcic. Thelma obtained a Bachelor's Degree from Duquesne University and worked as an executive secretary prior to retirement. She was an avid reader, enjoyed crossword puzzles, and being with her family - especially her sister, Kathleen. She is survived by her nephews, Bernard (Sandra) Freismuth, and Kurt (Deborah) Freismuth; as great-nieces, Kristina and Stephanie; great-nephews, Kurt and Jonathan; as well as a great-nephew-in-law, Chris Palazzo. In addition to her parents, Thelma is preceded in death by her sister, and brother-in-law, Kathleen & Bernard Freismuth; and by her niece, Jennifer Lynn Freismuth-Palazzo. There is no visitation. Carolyn Jean Marszalek Despotakis passed away peacefully, on August 17, 2025, in Baldwin with her nieces Janine Montgomery and Christine Szymarek by her side. Born in Wilmerding on July 1, 1942. Beloved daughter of the late Stanley and Regina (Kasprzyk) Marszalek. Loving Wife of Richard “Deppy” Despotakis, married on July 23, 1966. Mother of Mark Despotakis of White Oak, PA, grand cat Fleury, sisters Frances O’Donnell of Norristown, PA, Marianne Popyak of Westerville, OH; and Dorothy (Raymond) Szymarek of White Oak, PA.
Carolyn attended Robert Morris College for business, worked at the Greater Pittsburgh Drive In, was bookkeeper for Palmetto Home Builders and John Parker Construction, in addition to many years as a secretary at the Pribanic and Pribanic law office. Along with her husband, she owned The Lionheart Inn in McKeesport, PA from 1969-2000. She was a member of Mary Mother of God Parish.
She was affectionately called “Sweet Caroline” and was the aunt to many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Carolyn will be missed by her many friends and cousins. She is preceded in death by her sister, Jane Ebbitt; in laws, Betty and Mike Despotakis; nephews and brothers in law.

Carolyn Shavulsky, age 81 of Jefferson Hills, passed away on Friday, August 22, 2025 in The Residence at Arrowood, West Mifflin. Born November 13, 1943 in Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of the late John and Catherine (O'Donnell) Ford. A retired medical transcriptionist / billing coordinator, Carolyn was a member of Triumph of the Holy Cross Parish - St. Clare of Assisi Church. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, the late John Shavulsky, who passed away July 24, 2024. Carolyn is survived by her son John M. (Erika) Shavulsky of Austin, TX, her grandchildren Delaney and Mackenzie Shavulsky, and also a couple nephews & cousins.
