Joshua Gray "Josh" Klingensmith, 49, of Jefferson Hills, passed away Saturday, April 12, 2025. He was born July 9, 1975 in McKeesport and was the son of Daniel and Janet (Maple) Klingensmith. Josh most recently worked as a retail supervisor for Dollar General, and had also worked for Sam's Club in West Mifflin for many years. He was one of the sweetest and funniest people you could ever meet and loved to make everyone laugh. Josh was a great cook, he had a passion for smoking meats and baking pies and cakes. He also enjoyed thrifting anything and everything, collecting Hot Wheels Cars and building Hot Wheels Tracks. Josh was a passionate lover of music, he displayed this by wearing various band tees on a regular basis; some of his favorite bands included Journey, Pink Floyd and Def Leopard. He also enjoyed numerous family vacations throughout the years. He will be greatly missed.

Rebecca J. Tessauro, age 77 of North Huntingdon, passed away on October 14, 2025, at her home. She was born on November 9, 1947 in Steubenville, Ohio, a daughter of the late James Ayers and Helen Kugler Ayers. Rebecca was a member of Cove United Presbyterian Church in Weirton, West Virginia, and she was the first woman to be admitted into the Norwin Lion’s Club. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a secretary at the Weirton Steel Corporation, and she was also the owner of Relaxation Place Massage. Rebecca loved cats, and she was always looking for the opportunity to help other people. Most of all, she cherished the time she spent with her granddaughter, Kaylie. In addition to her parents, Rebecca was preceded in death by two sisters, Linda and Kathy. She is survived by her beloved husband, Frederick Tessauro, one daughter, Dee Allsbrooks and her husband Michael, one sister, Sue Lyons, one granddaughter, Kaylie, one grandson-in-law Dylan, and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, on Sunday, November 2, from 10 AM to 11 AM. Michael Richard “Deppy” Despotakis passed away peacefully, on October 11, 2025, in Bethel Park, PA.
Born in McKeesport, PA on March 26, 1936. Beloved son of the late Michael and Betty (Kurey) Despotakis. Loving Husband of the late Carolyn Despotakis, married on July 23, 1966. Father of Mark Despotakis of White Oak, PA, and grand cat Fleury.
Richard was a 1959 graduate of Penn State University where he graduated with a degree in business. He was in the Army Reserves, worked in various sales jobs until he opened, along with his wife, The Lionheart Inn in McKeesport, PA. The restaurant was a staple of the McKeesport area from when they opened in 1969 until they sold the business in 2000.

Richard G. Portis was born on April 15, 1944, in Glen Hazel, Pennsylvania. A graduate of Gladstone High School where he was active on the football and basketball teams.
He continued his education at Point Park University where he was a champion played basketball before serving his country in Vietnam as a member of the United States Army. Richard G. Portis served as a Sergeant E-5 Administration Specialist in the U.S. Army from 1965-1968, receiving an Honorable Discharge and earning the National Defense Service Medal and Vietnam Service Medal with two Bronze Service Stars.
Upon discharge and returning home, Richard’s deep commitment to community uplift led him to become a pioneering organizer. He was appointed to establish the first Opportunities Industrialization Center (OIC) program in Western Pennsylvania, headquartered in McKeesport. His exceptional leadership in building this groundbreaking program earned national recognition and widespread respect.

Jean Evelyn (Kroc) Mundy, age 97, of North Huntingdon, passed away Thursday, October 9, 2025. She was born January 11, 1928 in Wilmerding, a daughter of the late Joseph and Rose Kroc. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Irwin, and was one of the founders of the Norwin Band Aids and a member of the Country Hills and Penn State Extension Gardening Clubs. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Clifton Mundy; and sisters Dorothy Patosky, Barb Lissy and Mildred Capezzuto. She is survived by her children Wayne (Twyla) Mundy of Kenai, Alaska, Cheryl (John Palko) Limley of McKeesport, Timothy Mundy of Wasilla, Alaska, Roger (Diane) Mundy of North Huntingdon, and Donna (Donald) Dominick of North Irwin; 12 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and, many nieces and nephews who loved Jean. She loved attending events for her grandchildren, traveling, crossword puzzles, and cardinals. Friends and family will be received Monday, October 13th from 3 to 8 p.m. at the William Snyder Funeral Home, 521 Main Street, Irwin, 724-863-1200. Everyone will gather on Tuesday, October 14th at the funeral home for a funeral service. Interment will follow at Penn Lincoln Memorial Park in North Huntingdon Township. Nathaniel Anderson, affectionately known to many as "Bumpo" went on to be with the Lord on October 8, 2025, in Pittsburgh, PA at the age of 78. Nathaniel Anderson was born on June 2, 1947, in Sumter, SC, to James Anderson and Viola Kelly Walker and was raised by his mother and stepfather Robert Walker with his 5 siblings in McKeesport, Pennsylvania.
Nathaniel attended McKeesport Area High School and was a stand-out student and basketball player. He left school early and joined the Navy serving for 2 years from 1965-1967. He later obtained his High School Diploma from the Department of Education in 1986 and continued to train and study to serve as a Certified Nursing Assistant where he worked in various nursing homes.

Hector R. Olave, Sr., 71, of North Huntingdon, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, October 12, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born on August 17, 1954, in Bogotá, Colombia, a beloved son of the late Dr. Raul A. Olave and Carmen M. (Gulfo) Olave. Hector was a proud graduate of Norwin High School, Class of 1973. He went on to attend Westmoreland County Community College, where he began laying the foundation for a successful career in sales.
Over the years, he became a familiar and trusted face throughout the region, traveling extensively as a representative for various footwear companies. Over the past 7 years, Hector brought his enthusiasm, warmth, and professionalism to Berk’s Menswear in North Huntingdon, where he was well-loved by colleagues and customers alike. Hector was known for his kind and positive spirit. He had an innate ability to connect with others, always greeting everyone with a smile and genuine interest. His friendly, outgoing nature made him a joy to be around, and his presence could light up any room.

With heavy hearts, the family announces the passing of Rayon Williams, a beloved daughter, sister, cousin, and friend whose presence brought warmth, laughter, and love to all who knew her. Rayon’s kindness, radiant energy, and beautiful soul touched countless lives, and her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her.
She was the cherished daughter of Michelle Butler and Reuben Williams, and beloved stepdaughter of Anthony Butler Jr. She is survived by her loving siblings Rachelle, Rahja, Fendi Taylor, James and Jazmine Butler, Lilah Williams, Omausha Williams, and Reuben Williams Jr., along with a host of other siblings. Rayon was the beloved granddaughter of Marcia & Dennis Parrish and Lueana Coward, and was preceded in death by her grandparents Louis and Luealla Coward, Bessie Dent Williams, her dear uncles Harry Coward, James, and Don Jones, and her cousins Ivan Coward, Danny Bracey Sr., and Danny Bracey Jr., along with many other beloved family members. She will be forever remembered by the family and friends who loved her dearly.

Bonnie (McLaughlin) Todd, of White Oak, formerly of Port Vue, passed away on Monday, October 13, 2025 after a battle with cancer. She was the daughter of the late James and Betty McLaughlin, wife of the late Frank Todd III, and proud mom of their son, the late Frank Todd IV. A 1970 graduate of Elizabeth Forward High School, she retired from Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory in 2013 after 42 years of service.
