Born April 15, 1960 in McKeesport, she was a daughter of Patricia (Patrick) Rothey of Clairton and the late Carl H. Rothey. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her loving partner, Jim Pennell; daughter, Jennifer Gephart of Clairton; sons, Dennis W. (Erin) Gephart Jr. of West Newton and Christopher (Angela Mason) Kurta of White Oak; grandchild, Kylie Kurta of White Oak; brothers, Karl (Patricia) Rothey of Clairton and Eric (Tami) Rothey of West Newton; also, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by grandson, Anthony Stephen Gephart. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, 221 North Second Avenue, Elizabeth on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Helen A. (Suchta) Gambal, 98, formerly of Duquesne and Dravosburg, died peacefully on Thursday, May 30, 2019, in Riverside Care Center, McKeesport. Born in Duquesne on April 11, 1921, she was the daughter of the late George and Elizabeth (Turcik) Suchta. Mrs. Gambal was a member of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, West Mifflin and a retired housekeeper for Jefferson Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Gambal and the loving mother of Donald (Grace) Gambal  of Cleveland, Ohio and the late Thomas Gambal. She is also survived by a sister, Pauline Perhac of Duquesne. In addition to her parents, husband and son she was also preceded in death by three brothers, John, Andrew and George Suchta, and three sisters, Mary Karafa, Anna Karafa, and Virginia Skoczylas.

John Allen Ferrero, known by many as “Punky”, “Jumping Johnny” or “Fruit”, 63, a life-long resident of Clairton, passed away at home on Wednesday May 29th, 2019. He was born in McKeesport on August 18, 1955 to the late John C Ferrero and the surviving Dolores Tortorice Ferrero of Clairton. He is survived by his daughters; Tiara (Juan Butler) Snyder of McKeesport and Jessica (Skylar Brown) Ferrero of Clairton, grandchildren; Josiah, Kai, Taier, Skylar, Carter and Rylan, brothers; Gary Ferrero of South-side, Pittsburgh and David Ferrero of Clairton and sister Francine Ferrero of Las Vegas, NV. John was preceded in death by his father, John “Punky” Ferrero. John through the years was self-employed. He owned and ran Ferrero’s Beer Distributer in Large, PA, and later in life enjoyed running the Coal Valley Produce stand. He was a man that loved his family, his friends and all of the customers that gave him a reason to be in business over the years. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday June 4th from 3-7 at S.M. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 432 N. 6th St, Clairton, PA 15025. A service will immediately follow visitation. He worked for many years as a factory worker and enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Pirates and singing in a barber shop quartet in Circleville. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Robert Snyder. He is survived by his sister-in-law Patricia Snyder; nephews Robert Snyder Jr, Eugene (Ronda Price) Snyder, and Laurence (Teresa) Snyder; and niece Veronica (Mark Linville) Snyder.
