Rita (Sisley) Gallo, 75, of White Oak, passed away Saturday, December 20, 2025. She was born January 22, 1950 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late Leonard Raymond and Rose Annete (Salopek) Sisley. Rita dedicated many years of service working in the financial department of the former GC Murphy Warehouse. She was known for her warm smile and quick wit, she truly enjoyed being around people and had a wonderful sense of humor that brought joy to friends, neighbors, and all who knew her. She enjoyed watching the neighborhood kids play outside on warm summer days. She had a lifelong love of crocheting and knitting and was an active member of several crocheting and knitting clubs throughout the area. Rita was also a devoted member of the Duquesne Women’s Club, where she proudly served on the GFWC Education and Libraries Community Service Program. One of her happiest places was the White Oak Senior Center, where she especially enjoyed Wii Bowling alongside her friends. Despite facing numerous health challenges over the years, Rita remained a generous, giving, and social person who always found ways to help others. Her kindness, resilience, and friendship left a lasting impact on everyone she met, and she will be deeply missed.

Gregg Saputo, age 63, of Clairton, died at home on December 21, 2025. Born March 19, 1962, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Nick and Joan (Wiggins) Saputo.
A graduate of Clairton High School, Gregg enriched his high school years as a member of the school band and the Royal Crusaders Drum and Bugle Corps, deepening his love for music and camaraderie. He carried this spirit of service forward as he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, a commitment he held dear throughout his life. After returning to civilian life, Gregg found his calling as a plumber and worked tirelessly in construction, showcasing not just his skill but also his unwavering work ethic and determination.
He is survived by sons, Anthony (Heather) Saputo and Nicholas Saputo; grandchildren Liam and Kingston: siblings, Dan (Cathy) Noga, Scott Saputo, Valarie (Bill) Mitchko, Nicole (the late Anthony) Koontz, and Andrea (David) Kehoe. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Kenneth Edward Abels, 76, of Elizabeth Township, passed away on Saturday, December 20, 2025. He was born February 23, 1949 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Samuel Edward Abels and Agnes (Mayher) Econovich. He was the loving husband of 53 years to Patricia (McBurney) Abels. He received a Bachelor's Degree in Business from Penn State University. He was a supervisor for Eastman Chemical Company in West Elizabeth. Kenneth was a Pittsburgh sports enthusiast and held season tickets for the Steelers for over 20 years. He was also an avid hunter, bowler and golfer.

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Rudolph (Rudy) Leonardo, of Westminster MD. Rudy passed away peacefully on December 6, 2025 at the age of 95. Rudy was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, great-uncle and friend. He was born in McKeesport PA to the late Antonio and Anna Carrara Leonardo.
He attended McKeesport High School where he played Guard (#10) for the Tigers varsity team that won the 1947 state championship and went on to play at the Scholastic Orange Bowl (North vs. South Shrine Football Game) on Christmas Day 1947. After earning a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh, he enlisted in the US Army and was assigned to the 17th Counterintelligence Corps Detachment in Trieste, Italy that conducted cross-border operations into Eastern Europe in the first decade of the Cold War.

William S. Tyler, Jr., age 76, of McKeesport, died at home on December 18, 2025. Born October 7, 1949, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late William Sr. and Nellie (Mellinger) Tyler and husband of Allie (Schmeltz) Tyler for 58 years. William was a longtime NRA member, found joy in watching television, and was an avid enthusiast of CB radios, connecting with others and forging friendships near and far.
He is survived by sons, Jody (Sheri) Tyler and William (Deidre) Tyler, III; grandchildren, Ashley (Chad) Vines, Sam (Steve) Lau, Liz Tyler, and Rachel Tyler; great-grandsons, Josh Vines, Jake Vines, and Lucas Tyler; and sister, Diane Collier. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son, Eugene Tyler. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Greenock at 10 a.m. Arrangements were entrusted to Willig Funeral Home & Crematory. Sheila Lynn Trimpey, 53, of Irwin passed away Thursday, December 18, 2025. She was born October 6, 1972 in McKeesport to Roger Allen and Deborah Catherine (Mays) Trimpey. Sheila was an absolute animal lover, leaving behind her 2 dogs, a cat, and 4 birds. As she referred to them as her "fur kids." She enjoyed traveling - mainly casino trips, and numerous amusement parks to get her roller coaster fix. In addition to her parents, Sheila is survived by her brother, Allan (Judy Mankin) Trimpey of Buena Vista; her sister, Erica (Jason) Flocker of Buena Vista; as well as nephews, Skylar and Jason Flocker; a long-time friend, William "Hippy" Milliken; and her boyfriend, Stanley Benovitch. Leroy Edward Pemberton, (known as "Lee"), 93, of Elizabeth Township passed away Thursday, December 18, 2025. He was born in Richmond, Virginia on October 26, 1932 to the late Leroy Pemberton, and the late Elizabeth Hannah (Mabe) Pemberton Hornych. Lee Pemberton, founder of Pembertons Cleaning & Restoration Supply in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, left a legacy marked by innovation, mentorship, and steadfast support for independent cleaning professionals worldwide. Pembertons was founded in 1972 when Lee identified an industry need for reliable products, trustworthy advice, and strong leadership. Over more than 50 years, the company grew beyond just providing cleaning and restoration supplies. It became a dependable partner for carpet cleaners, restoration contractors, textile specialists, and maintenance professionals. But Lee’s influence extended beyond inventory lists and price sheets. He served as a mentor to countless professionals and educators who visited Pembertons’ doors or met him at industry events. Lee deeply believed in the power of education.
