Louise P. Mandekic, age 87 of McKeesport, passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2019 in UPMC McKeesport.  Born June 21, 1932 in East Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Sophia (Gorence) Zupancic.  A 1950 graduate of Scott High School, Louise worked as a secretary for Mine Safety Appliance, Inc. of Wilkinsburg.  She was a parishioner of St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church in McKeesport, was a past president of the Christian Mothers' Assoc. of both Sacred Heart and St. Martin de Porres Parishes, was a member of the CFU Lodge #3; and an active volunteer at McKeesport Hospital and numerous area locations.  Louise is survived by her husband William M. Mandekic; her children Cynthia (Rodger) Downes of McKeesport, Gary (Diana) Mandekic of Derry Twp., Daniel (Samantha) Mandekic of Hopwood, and Darlene (Albert) Fine of Forward Twp.; her grandchildren Ryan Mandekic and Alyssa, Danica, and Chloe Fine; her great-grandchildren Alex and Denver; and also nieces and nephews.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Andrew Zupancic and twin brother Louis Zupancic.

Allen R. Mayhugh

Allen R. "Skip" Mayhugh, age 86, of Elizabeth, passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2019 at Jefferson Hospital. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War and was stationed in Japan where he met his wife and lifelong friend, Setsue. After serving in the Army, he returned home and worked in construction and part-time farming. He was a part-time policeman in Elizabeth Borough in the early 1970s and in 1984, he founded A&M Recycling in Elizabeth. Born January 20, 1933 in Forward Twp., he was a son of the late Kenneth and Mabel (Bernhardy) Mayhugh. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Setsue K. (Kisu) Mayhugh; daughters, Cathy Pierce of Elizabeth, Susie Mayhugh of Tucson, AZ, Jackie (Robert) Salka of Forward Twp., and Toni Mayhugh of Elizabeth; son, John H. Mayhugh of Elizabeth and Jim Mayhugh of Elizabeth; grandchildren; sisters, Shirley Heath of Townville and Mary Patello of Waltersburg; also, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by daughter, Liz Mayhugh, and brother, William C. Mayhugh. No visitation or services are planned. Arrangements by the Paul E. Doris Sydoriak, age 90 of Clairton, passed away on Monday, December 23, 2019 in Sycamore Estate Personal Care Residence, Duquesne.  Born March 16, 1929 in Clairton, she was a daughter of the late Alexander and Katherine (Bilak) Sydoriak and the last-surviving sister of the late Mary, Stephen, Nick, and Julia Sydoriak.  Doris was a member of Ascension of Our Lord Byzantine Catholic Church and was a former member of St. Anthony's Greek Orthodox Church, both in Clairton.  She is survived by her sister in law Lillian Sydoriak and her niece Lillian Tintor.

John E. "Po" Hall

John E. “Po” Hall, age 99 of Mars, passed away on Friday, December 20, 2019 at the Butler VA Heath Care Community Living Center.  A US Navy Veteran who served aboard the USS Charrette DD581 during World War II, he was born September 26, 1920 in Pittsburgh, the son of Albert and Ada Hall and brother of Stella Hill, who passed away at age 93.  John married Mary M. (Firczak) Hall of September 21, 1946 and had 60 wonderful years together.  Mary passed away on April 15, 2007.  He worked at US Steel, Clairton Works, 22” rolling mill for 46 years.  After retiring, he moved to Phoenix, AZ to enjoy life with Mary for 24 happy years.  They enjoyed travelling and going to the Navy Reunions.   John was a lifelong member of the American Legion, Daniel Keffer Post # 75  of Clairton.  He is survived by his son Charles Hall; his daughter Cathy (Bruce) Shuster; his grandchildren Jonathan Hall and Kelly, Sally, and Nicole Shuster; his brother –in-law Bill (Donna) Firczak; his sister-in-law Wilma (Paul) Fedorka;  and also nieces and nephews: Leo, Beverly, Diane, Scott, Rick, Paula, Tom, Lisa, and Joe.

Dorothy Jean Stiteler, age 81, passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2019 at Southwestern Nursing Center. She was a former member of Resurrection Parish in Brookline. Born September 21, 1938, she was a daughter of the late Elmer Raymond and Dorothy Marie (Ryce) Schutzman Stiteler. She is survived by her sister, Carol A. Schaff of Jefferson Hills; nieces and nephews, William Schaff Jr., David Schaff and Christi Murphy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by niece, Karen Sippos. Luketic, age 72 of McKeesport, passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 in UPMC McKeesport.  Born August 22, 1947 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Matthew E. and Mildred (Zaiac) Luketic.  A retiree from the McKeesport Municipal Authority and former member of Sacred Heart Parish in McKeesport, Matthew was a member of the CFU #146, Wastewater Pollution Control Association, and a 22 year member of the Democratic Committee of McKeesport.  He was also a member of the McKeesport Jaycees for 10 years and, in 1976, he was chosen as Jaycee of the Year.  Matthew is survived by his sister Carol (Larry) Harrison of Trafford; his nieces Kimberly (Jeff) McNaney and Cari (Wayne) Ireland; his great nephews Tyler Larkin and Andrew and Nathan Gligonic; and his great-nieces Tara Shultz and Emma Gligonic.

Murphy & Co. in McKeesport.  Her family will remember her giving heart and her many, many friends.  Besides her parents, Dolores was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Kolodziej and her brothers Ray and Tom Dwornick.  She is survived by her son Ronald J. Kolodziej of McKeesport; her sister Lorraine (Dwornick) Jesionowski of Versailles; and also numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces-and-nephews, and great-great-nieces-and-nephews.

He was a retired craneman from Steelmet - ELG Metals in Port Vue and a U.S. Army veteran. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and loved hot rods and attending car shows. Blaise (Constance) Bekavac of Edgewater, MD and Gregory T. Bekavac of Clairton; her grandchildren Chelsey and Christin; and also nieces and nephews.  Besides her parents, Eileen is preceded in death by her siblings Robert Gaydos and Eleanor M. Murphy and Co. in Clairton, Elinore was a member of St. Damien of Molokai Parish in Monongahela.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Clyde Stearns, who passed away December 6, 2000, and her sister Louise Smith.  Elinore is survived by her daughter Lorrie (Scott) Bellavance of New Eagle; her three grandchildren Tabitha (Joe) DeBerry, Brianna Romero, and Scott Bellavance; her six great-grandchildren Danika and Coltyn DeBerry, Izabella and Zayla Romero, Waylon DeBerry, and Veronica Bellavance; her siblings Betty Morally of Baldwin, Ruth Clarke of Wexford, Donald Dwyer of Jefferson Hills, and Harold Dwyer of Westmoreland City; and also nieces and nephews.
