Dona M. Sherbine, age 88 of North Canton, Ohio, formerly of McKeesport, died Wednesday, February 15, 2017. She was born in McKeesport on September 11, 1928, the daughter of the late James and Jean Skarry Guiser. Dona was preceded in death by her husband Daniel Joseph Sherbine, Sr., her son, Daniel J. Sherbine, Jr., and granddaughter Krista Cotter. She received her undergraduate degree from Carlow College and her Master’s degree in Education from the University of Pittsburgh. Dona was a teacher at St. Angela Merici School (now Mary of Nazareth) for over 20 years, teaching science to 4th through 8th graders. She loved reading and the beach.

Christopher Michael Beaudoin, age 46, of Unity Township, died peacefully with his parents by his side, Saturday, June 17, 2017. He was born in Pittsburgh on October 22, 1970 and is the son of Benoit R. “Ben” and Marian Sabol Beaudoin of N. Huntingdon. Chris was one of three children diagnosed with autism in Westmoreland County to be enrolled in a newly formed program for Autistic children. Chris was a resident of Community Living Care of Greensburg, where he received excellent care. He had many friends there and was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan. In addition to his parents, he is survived by aunts, uncles, and cousins in Pennsylvania, Maine, S. Carolina, Georgia, Indiana, and California.

James Charles Patch, age 75, of Elizabeth Twp., died on Saturday May 27, 2017. He was born in McKeesport on April 21, 1942 and is the son of the late Anthony and Juanita Jordan Patch. He was a driver for Port Authority Transit for 26 years and was a member of the Amalgamated Transit Union Local 85. He enjoyed music, loved all the local sports teams including the Steelers, Penguins, and Pirates, and was a proud organ donor.
He is survived by his loving wife, Esther Snyder; son, Jerel Patch of Baldwin; and daughter, Shannon Patch of Baldwin.

Stoyanka Popovich Vranesevich, age 90, of McKeesport, died Sunday, May 21, 2017. She was the daughter of the late Very Rev. Dr. Milan G. and Zoritza Popovich. She was born in Crepaya, Yugoslavia on October 16, 1926 and was preceded in death by her husband Milan and brothers Dushan and Stoyan Popovich. Stoyanka earned her B.A. degree from Carnegie Mellon University (formerly Carnegie Technical Institute). She was a loving mother to her children Xenia and Milan of McKeesport, Zora Russell of Serento Florida, grandson George Russell and great grandson Dalton; brothers, retired Superior Court Judge Zoran Popovich of Myrtle Beach, SC; Ray (Shirley) Popovich of Greentree, PA, along with nieces and nephews. Stoyanka was an active member of the St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church of McKeesport-Duquesne and choir member for more than twenty years. She was one of the founding members of the St. Sava Mothers’ Club and danced with the Balkan Dancers. Janet M. Cox, age 79 of Jeannette, died May 8, 2017. She was born in Liberty Borough on April 7, 1938, daughter of the late Charles and Grace Harper Thompson. She was a member of the Keystone Christian Church, and former organist at the First Christian Church of McKeesport and the Liberty Borough Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Alan “Pete” D.
