Jon E. Zalac, age 73, of White Oak, died on Wednesday, March 23, 2022. He was born in McKeesport on September 9, 1948 and is the son of the late John and Eugenia Kellar Zalac. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War and received the Vietnam Service Medal with three Bronze Service Stars, the Combat Infantry Badge, the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Bronze Star, and the Republic of the Vietnam Campaign Medal. He was a member of St. Angela Merici Church, the Two Rivers Amateur Radio Club, Inc., White Oak American Legion Post #701, where he was a member for 39 years, the NRA, the Marienville Rod and Gun Club, and the Academy of Model Aeronautics. He attended CCAC and the University of Pittsburgh. He retired as an electrical technician after 36 years from the Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory.

Travis G. Sanner, 38, tragically passed on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at the age of 38. Travis was the beloved son of David and Debra (Earhart) Sanner. Loving brother of David (Paula) Sanner, Scott Sanner, Brian (Christine) Sanner, Jason (Stacey) Sanner, twin sister, Rebecca Sanner and, Amanda (Jonathon) Raible. Adoring uncle of Joshua, Holley, Scott Jr., Austyn, Hailey, Hayden, Jayden, Jonny and Mason. Travis is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and friends.

Travis enjoyed spending time in the woods, and hunting. He loved trucks and riding his quad. Most of all, Travis loved his family and the time he spent with them.

Dorothy “June” Pastor, 84, of Fayetteville, PA, and formerly of Glassport, PA passed away Thursday, March 24, 2022 in her home with her family by her side.  Born May 3, 1937 in Thurston, OH, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Dean and Margaret M. (Lenart) England, and widow to the late Thomas George Pastor, who preceded her in death on August 20, 2017.   

A 1955 graduate of Duquesne High School, June was known for her likeable and engaging personality and became Miss Duquesne High and was the captain of the varsity cheerleading squad. After high school, June went on to work for the Tuberculosis Society and the American Lung Association of Allegheny County, PA where she was the first Miss Christmas Seals of the American Lung Association of Western Pennsylvania.

After marrying the love of her life, Tom, she then worked as an administrative assistant for Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory in West Mifflin, PA, along with her newlywed husband.  After taking some time away to spend raising her family and being a wonderful, loving stay-at-home mother to her two children, June then went back into the workforce as the retail sales manager of Kill’s Pharmacy in Glassport, PA.  After the pharmacy closed its doors, June then transitioned into banking and was employed for 25 plus years as a Customer Relations Manager at the McKeesport National Bank, from where she retired in 2000.

Grace Eileen Bindas, 79, of North Huntingdon, passed away surrounded by her loving family on March 28, 2022. Affectionately known as Dirdle, she was born on February 13, 1943 in Raysal, WV, before moving to Clairton, PA. Grace graduated from Clairton High School in 1961. In Clairton, Grace met her loving husband, Johnny at just 16 years old. Grace and Johnny married on November 9, 1963. The two were the loves of each others' lives. She proudly worked at the University of Pittsburgh as an administrative assistant in Pulmonary Medicine and then retired from the University's School of Medicine. Grace enjoyed hosting Sunday family dinners, planting flowers, shopping, sewing, traveling with her AARP group, visiting her daughter in Massachusetts, meeting friends for lunch, munching on potato chips and surprising her loved ones with goodies ordered through QVC. Above all, Grace thrived on the love of her family. In her later years, Grace cherished returning to Raysal with family, taking the long, winding country roads back to the "holler" to see her birthplace. Grace is preceded in death by her parents, Juan and Emma Grueso, and her two brothers, Emilio and Manuel Grueso. Dirdle's surviving loved ones include her husband, John of 58 years; children, Karen Sarge, John (Bonnie) Bindas, and Beth (Doug) Vernon; sister, Marie Warren; grandchildren, Rachael, Jakob, Noah, Morgan, Joshua; and her four-legged grand puppies, along with several nieces and nephews. Richard L. Bruce Sr., 72, of West Newton, passed away Sunday, March 27, 2022 at Mon Valley Hospital. He was born January 11, 1950 in McKeesport, a son of the late Edward and Minerva (Williams) Bruce. Prior to his retirement, Richard was an home improvement salesman and a veteran of the US Army having served during Vietnam. He was a graduate of Norwin Senior High School Class of '68 and a drummer in "The Ravons". He was a Beatles fan, enjoyed watching movies and loved his dog, "Buddy". In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Bruce. He is survived by his son, Richard (Julie) Bruce Jr.; daughters, Cindy Bruce, Jennifer (Harry) Lalor, Andrea (David) Sidun; brother, Jimmy Bruce; grandchildren, Landon, Davanee, Kennedy, Paige, Holly and Dylan; and his best friend, Marc Muryn. George "Bill" William March, III., 77, of Jefferson Hills, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2022. He was born March 20, 1945 in Mitchel Field, NY and was the son of the late George William March, Jr. and Catherine P. (McGrath) March. Bill worked for many years as a truck driver and prior to his retirement had worked for Dillner Transfer Company for many years. Bill was a skilled mechanic and would fix anything for anyone with a smile on his face. He was an avid gardener, and enjoyed growing his own cucumbers, tomatoes and onions. He enjoyed going to his camp in Bedford County and watching football. Bill also enjoyed westerns such as Perry Mason and Gunsmoke to name a few and loved the show Mountain Men. One of Bill's favorite past times was sitting on his porch with his fly swatter. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by sons, George (Connie) March , IV of Bunola, Dan March of Ennis, Texas, Terry (Renee) Kadar of Uniontown, Louis (Violetta) Kadar of Clairton, and Matt (Carri) Kadar of West Newton, daughter, Suzanne (Mary) Kadar of Belle Vernon, brother, Tom (Dawn) March of Springfield, IL, special cousin and caregiver, Jamie (Paul) Trunzo of Glassport, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by sons, Johnny March and James Kadar and his partner, Joyce Kadar. There is no visitation. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her grandmother, Dorothy Brookhouser of Gibsonia, sisters, Gina (Kip) Kennemur of Birmingham, AL, and Danielle (Tracy Willcox) Auretto of Woodstock, NY, nephews, Nicholas (Kasey) Kennemur, and Zachary and Jared Kennemur, great-nieces, Hayes and Murray Kennemur, aunts, uncles. and cousins. Stasko, age 90 of Port Vue, passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2022.  Born June 30, 1931 in Glassport, she was a daughter of the late Adam and Mary (Kraszewski) Zaurski.  A graduate of West Penn Nursing School and a retired nurse from McKeesport Hospital, Clara was a member of Sts. Joachim and Anne Parish.  She was a former Democratic Comitteewoman in Port Vue, a National AARP member, a member of the Red Hats Society, the Glassport High School Alumni monthly lunch group.  Clara was a sports fan as well and will be remembered for her great sense of humor.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Donald Stasko, who passed away November 22, 1974; her sons Mark and David Stasko; her grandson Michael; her sisters Jean Machawick, Laura Suchko, Mary Magdic, and Blanche Derewanko; and her brothers Steve, Walter, Edward, and Stanley Zaurski.  Clara is survived by her grandchildren David (Elizabeth) Stasko, Courtney (Ryan) Gross, Ian (Katie) Stasko, and Jesse (Krista) Stasko; her nine great-grandchildren; and her daughters-in-law Danette Stasko of Elizabeth Twp. and Kathy Stasko of Hudson, OH; and also many nieces and nephews.
