June (Carper) Magyar, age 72, of Floreffe, passed away on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at UPMC McKeesport. She retired as a receptionist for TST in Pleasant Hills. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, her daily cup of coffee, and was the most selfless person, always giving to others. Born July 5, 1949 in Wheeling, WV, she was a daughter of the late Melvin and Alice (Grimm) Carper and wife of the late William E. Magyar. She is survived by her children, Adam Magyar of Elizabeth, Aubrey (Rudi) Sanutelli of Clairton and Andrew "Odie" (Donna) Magyar of Springdale; grandchildren, Aiden Sanutelli, Morgan Sanutelli, Lyla Jade Magyar, Meadow Sanutelli, Joscelyn McCarthy, Codie McCarthy and Addyson McCarthy; sisters, Marna Croyle of Clairton and Tawny Mooney of Tampa, FL; also, nieces and nephews. Marilyn (Lipp) Strotman, age 82, of Bunola, passed away on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at home. She retired as a maintenance person for Chemply in Bunola and was a former employee at JCPenney at Century III Mall. She was a member of Bunola Church of the Nazarene. Born August 31, 1939 in Elizabeth, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Mildred (Cushey) Lipp and wife of the late Charles "Pic" Strotman Sr. She is survived by sons, Curtis Strotman of Bunola, Craig Strotman of Forward Twp. and Emery Strotman of Bunola; grandchildren, Cassandra, Samuel, Isaac and Jacob Strotman; sister, Phyllis Thompson of Forward Twp.; brother, John (Patricia) Lipp of St. Augustine, FL; also, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sons, Charles Wesley and Kevin Dewayne Strotman. Friends will be received in the Paul E. David "Paul" Parker, age 61 of Clairton, passed away on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 in Jefferson Hospital.  Born December 15, 1960 in Bernice, LA, he was a son of the late Quentin Martell Parker and Vernell (West) Parker.  A former district manager for Rail Loading Services of Cheyenne, WY, Paul will be remembered as a strong, God-fearing,faithful Baptist man who lived life to the fullest, always made people smile and laugh, and made an impression on everyone, and in every room, he came across.  Most importantly, he was devoted to his family deeply, especially his grandchildren, and he loved them all with all of his heart.

She also loved to read, watch the Steelers and Penguins, and scratch off tickets. Born August 7, 1970 in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late Peter D. Kadar and the late Barbara (Domer) Janicki. She is survived by her daughter, Joie McIntosh of Somerset, NJ; son, Jacob Medina of Glassport; sisters, Lynnie Hale of Elizabeth and Tina (Luke) Wellmon of Townville; brothers, Michael Kadar of Midland, NC and Wayne Kadar of Elizabeth; also, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Andrews.  Mary Jo was a member of Sts. Joachim and Anne Parish - St. Michael’s Church, Elizabeth Twp. and was a bartender, cook, waitress around the area and worked most recently with Triumvirate Environmental Inc.  She was a fisherwoman and a good-hearted, free spirit with a heart-of-gold. Along with her mother, she is survived by her fiance' Ken Thornton; her step-daughters Miranda Thornton and Amber (John) Kieon; step-grandchildren Connor and Harper; siblings Susan (Michael) Krznaric of Elizabeth Twp. Michael (Lisa) Andrews of Walnut Creek, CA and Kathleen (David) Henderson of Greenock; brother-in-law George Blalock; and also nieces and nephews.

A World War II Air Force veteran and former member of the Civil Air Patrol, he was a former security guard with Landmark Security Services. Born September 28, 1925 in Large, he was a son of the late Daniel and Hannah (Lewis) Lewis and husband of the late Katherine (Zofchak) Lewis. He is survived by his daughters, Nancy (Mark) Neff of Elizabeth and Sandra Geiss of Elizabeth; grandchildren, Jonathan (Rachel) Neff of Forward Twp., Katherine (Scott) Jamison of Elizabeth, Craig (Lauren) Geiss of Bloomington, IN and Steven (Emily) Geiss of Columbia, MO; great-grandchildren, Elijah Neff, and Anna, Chillian, Kieran and Cormac Jamison; also, nieces and nephews. Brooks, age 67 of Elizabeth Twp., passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2022 in UPMC McKeesport.  Born July 15, 1954 in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late Eugene and Madeline (Frankovich) Gross.  A dispatcher and paramedic for Mon Valley 911 amongst others, Diane retired as a parking lot attendant with Parking Solutions at Jefferson Hospital.  In her spare time, she was a member of Pennsembles, the CFU Lodge #3 of Versailles, and the Lincoln Borough VFD.  Diane is survived by her husband of 43 years Robert C. Brooks; her children Dawn Brooks of McKeesport and Matthew Brooks of East McKeesport; her grandchildren Kaylee, Austin, Madalynn, Charles, Chad, Tyler, and Sierra; and her great-grandchild Nolan.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother John Gross and her uncle Richard Medved.

(Vergot) Dormihal.  A US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War era, John worked as an ambulance driver for both CH Transcare and Community Life.  He is survived by his wife of 40 years Anna Marie (Rupcic) Dormihal, his children Stephanie (Sean) Cammarata of Swisshelm Park and Nicholas Dormihal of Buena Vista, and many cousins.  Besides his parents, John was preceded in death by his sister Betty Dormihal.

Rhoda E. (Swaney) Sedlock, age 92, of Elizabeth Twp., passed away on Saturday, January 22, 2022 in the comfort of her home and her children. Rhoda’s greatest joy in life was her family and being Grams to her grandchildren and Great Grams to her great grandchildren. She was well known over the years by family and friends for her lady locks and nut rolls. She was an avid Pittsburgh Pirate fan and knew all the players’ names and statistics and always looked forward to spring training and that first televised game. Born August 1, 1929 in Haydentown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Orville Swaney and Marie (Hefner) Swaney. Preceded in death in 2016 by her loving husband of 65 years of marriage, Walter J. Sedlock, she is survived by a son, Walter (Susan) Sedlock of Greensburg, PA.; daughters, Diane (Eric) Olsen of Billings, MT and Joyce (Dennis) Marburger of Stewartstown, PA.; eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, George Swaney and her sister, Margaret Rhodes. She was a member of St. Joachim and Anne Parish, St. Michael Church in Elizabeth Township. Friends will be received in the Paul E.
