Irene Bernadine Monezis, 90, of McKeesport, died Sunday, December 8, 2019. She was born February 25, 1929 in Hosttetter, and was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Pavlok) Godula. She was the wife of the late George M. Monezis, Jr., who passed away September 21, 2016. They were married for 65 years. Dean William Czarnecki, 63, of Irwin, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Monday, November 25, 2019. He was born April 14, 1956 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Robert Frank and Bernice Joan (Vesley) Czarnecki. He was a 1974 graduate of Norwin High School and received his Machine Shop Certification from Forbes Trail , Monroeville in 1977. He was a Manufacturing Supervisor for the former Nuclear Components in Greensburg and had also worked for Randy's Paint in North Huntingdon, Firestone in Youngwood, and Vangura Inc., Steve Poorman Tooling and Repair, and Jim Steffey Performance Machinery Inc. Dean also manufactured and customized Caribe Boats. He was a life-member of the Italian Minor's Society of Hahntown, and was a social member of the North Irwin Vol. Fire Co.

Amado Anthony Gorham, 25, of Homestead, passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at home. He was born August 6, 1994 in Oakland, California and was the son of Kathleen Joyce Gorham. Amado worked as a greeter at Walmart. Amado found his foster father, Paul Hunter at Auberle of McKeesport. Amado ran up to Paul's car, at the time a complete stranger, as he was leaving from volunteering with other children. Amado yelled " Mr. Paul, Mr. Paul, I heard about you." Paul stopped the car, and the little boy barely tall enough to see in the car window said "Mr. Paul, will you foster me?" At that moment, Amado stole Paul's heart and shortly after fostering began.

Vivien worked as a regional business director for a large area healthcare company for 12 area nursing homes and was a member of St. Patrick Church in Christy Park. She was dedicated to her work and the community she served and took great pride in providing for her family, her grandchildren and extended family. She loved trips to Disney, The Meadows, The Rivers, Atlantic City and Las Vegas. During her long sickness her family is grateful for all the time that was spent together.

James B. McLaughlin, 101, a resident of The Palms at O'Neil, formerly of Boston, passed away Friday, November 15, 2019. He was born August 25, 1918 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Bernard and Isabel (O'Rourke) McLaughlin of Christy Park.
He was the husband of the late Betty Louise (Kiser) McLaughlin who passed away November 22, 2002. James retired from the former US Steel National Tube Works in 1980 after 43 years of service and was a member of Versailles AARP.
He was a US Army WWII Veteran. He served in the 60th Medical Detachment and for his service he received the American Campaign Medal, WWII Victory Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.

He was also preceded in death by sisters, Joann (Alan) McCartney and Mary Ann Yusko, and a brother, James Yusko.
