JoAnn (Jeffries) Geruschat, 83, of North Huntingdon, passed away surrounded by family after a long fight with cancer on Thursday, September 20, 2018. She was born January 17, 1935 in Elwood, Indiana and was the daughter of the late Floyd L. and Clevie Lackey Jeffries. She was the wife of 46 years to her beloved husband, Jack D. Geruschat, who passed away September 19, 1996. JoAnn worked as a bookkeeper for the former US Steel National Tube works in McKeesport and was a member of Cornith Chapter #229 O.E.S. and Corinthian #35 O. of A. She loved to crochet, knit, play cards and to read. She enjoyed cooking for and spending time with her family and also had many lifelong friendships. She is survived by daughters, Debbie (Ronald) Lofgren of North Huntingdon, Vickie (Robert) Lofgren of North Myrtle Beach, SC, granddaughters, Bethany (Mark) Keaton of North Carolina, and Melisa (Chris) Hickey of Cannonsburg, grandsons, Brian Lofgren of West Newton and Brad (Kim) Lofgren of Ruffsdale, great-grandchildren, JoAnna Mae and James Jaxon, brother, Bob Jeffries of Michigan, sister, Mary Kuffner of Coraopolis, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Eugene Howard Worthy, 93, of White Oak, died Monday, September 17, 2018. He was born December 13, 1924 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Matthew and Jeannette (Mack) Worthy. Eugene was a member of the former St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in McKeesport and was retired from US Steel National Tube Works, and Westinghouse in East Pittsburgh. He was a WWII US Army Veteran and served along the China-Burma Road. For his service, he received the American Theater Ribbon, Asiatic-Pacific Theater Ribbon w/2 Bronze Stars, Good Conduct Medal and the WWII Victory Medal. He is survived by his wife, Betty Jane (Mezoff) Worthy, daughters, Beverly Wayne of Dublin, OH, June L. (Donald) Kudas of White Oak, and Betty Gene (Mark) Stoner of Elizabethtown, grandchildren, Emily (Ralph) Rajadurai, Valerie (Mark) Bacco, Todd (Nicole) Kudas, Jacqueline (Gerry) Greco, Lindsay (Andy) Hoover and Nathan (Tasha) Stoner, great-grandchildren, Reece, Jules and Wynne Greco, Audriana and Samuel Bacco, Shelby, Kelsey, and Mackenzie Hoover and Natalie Stoner, and nieces and nephews.

Sue Ann (Ghrist) Downard, 60, of Adamsburg, died Saturday, September 15, 2018. She was born May 23, 1958 in Adamsburg and was the daughter of the late William J. and Marjorie Ann (Stubbs) Ghrist. Debra Jean (Swartz) London, 59, of McKeesport, formerly of Elizabeth Township, died Sunday, September 9, 2018. She was born April 12, 1959 in McKeesport and was the daughter of Jean (King) Swartz of Louisville, OH, and the late Arthur Swartz. Debra was a member of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in McKeesport and was a nurse at Jefferson Hospital. She was a 1977 graduate of Elizabeth Forward High School. He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Elizabeth Township and was retired from US Steel Irvin Works. Oscar was a WWII Army Veteran. He entered the Army Air Corps on February 13, 1943 and served as a ball-turret gunner on a B-17. He completed 33 Missions in the European theater before being injured in combat. His last mission was on November 30, 1944, which prevented him from returning to active duty. He proudly served his country for 2 years 3 months and 27 days. For his service he received the Purple Heart with 3 Oak Leaf Clusters and the European-African-Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon. Oscar retired from US Steel Irvin Works after 38 years of service and was highly regarded by his co-workers. He developed a love of the outdoors early in his youth and became an avid hunter and fisherman. He shared his love of the outdoors with his son and then with other family members and friends and was a positive role model to follow. He is survived by his son, Benjamin (Terri) Toth of Harrisville, daughters, Laura E. (Robert) Cabon of Elizabeth Township and Linda (William) Oliver of Mercer, grandchildren, Amy, Laural, Stephen, Stephanie, Adam and Benjamin, great-grandchildren, Paige, Brianna, Claire, Christopher, Lauren, Ellena, Henry, Jack, and Matthew, and nieces and nephews.

Barbara Ann Miller, 59, of McKeesport, passed away Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at home surrounded by family. She was born June 9, 1959 in Duquesne and was the daughter of the late Joseph Brozosky and Kathleen Galvin Lynn. She worked in housekeeping for many years for both the Steel Valley School District and CCAC Northside Campus. She enjoyed playing bingo anywhere she could. She is survived by her husband, Richard W. Miller, son, Jonathan (Amber Zupan) Miller of Elizabeth Twp., sister, Harriet (Shorty) Fierst of Trafford, brother, Arthur (Leetha) Lynn of Florida, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Caryle Ann Raymer, 81, of Coulter, passed away Sunday, August 19, 2018. She was born May 29, 1937 in Coulter and was the daughter of the late Orville G. and Mary (Stewart) Drescher. She was the wife of the late Ronald E. Raymer who died September 23, 1999. Caryle was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Coulter and was a former member of the Coulter Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed her grandkids and great-grandkids, shopping outings at Grove City Outlets, playing Bingo, and her monthly lunches with her childhood girlfriends. She is survived by her sons, Ronald G. (Cindy) Raymer of North Versailles and Donald E. (Nancy) Raymer of McKeesport, brother, Orville Drescher of Coulter, grandchildren, Kara (Paul), and Keri (Jeff), great-grandchildren, Michael, Makayla, Hayley, Anna, Brixton, and Ryan, nieces and nephews.
