Geraldine A. "Maggie" Shurtz, 67, of Adamsburg, died Sunday January 1, 2017. She was born May 17, 1949 in Buena Vista, and was the daughter of the late Howard and Martha Ellenberger Taylor. Geraldine had worked for Kinder Care in Irwin, Dick's Sporting Goods warehouse in Smithton, Bombardier in West Mifflin and Respironics in Murrysville. She was a member of AARP. Eleanor L. Ruozzi, 91, of Buena Vista, died Friday, December 30, 2016 at home. She was born August 21, 1925 in Monessen and was the daughter of the late Edward and Alice Peters Deutsch. She was the wife of the late Risveglio "Rice" A. Ruozzi who died June 29, 2014. They were married for 67 years. Eleanor and Rice were proprietors of the former Valley Food Mart in Buena Vista for 50 years.
