Charles H. Dreer, 92, of North Huntingdon, passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at UPMC East. He was born, July 20, 1927 in McKeesport, a son of the late Webster and Pearl (Maurer) Dreer. Prior to his retirement, Charles was employed by General Motors Fisher Body with over 30 years of dedicated service, and a veteran of the US Navy having served during WWII. He was a member of Park Baptist Church, Versailles where he served on the Board of Deacons and Board of Trustees and volunteered for Meals on Wheels, McKeesport. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Clawson Dreer; son, Charles J. Dreer; daughters, Claudia O'Lear and Jodene Dreer; brothers, Ronald Dreer, Kenneth Summit and Bernard Summit. He is survived by his son, William (Denise) Dreer; daughters, Beth (Carl) DeValkeneer, Brenda (Richard) Stinner; daughter-in-law, Joyce Dreer; sister-in-law, Geraldine Dreer; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Mary Ellen Welsh, 88, of North Huntingdon, peacefully passed away Saturday, August 31, 2019 at her home. She was born December 10, 1930 in McKeesport, daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Fichera) Durante. Mary Ellen enjoyed gardening, bowling and spending time with her grandchildren and other family members. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Welsh; and sister, Margaret Novak. Robert Rose, 90, of North Huntingdon, passed away Thursday, August 29, 2019 at UPMC East. He was born September 23, 1928 in Larimer, PA. Prior to his retirement, Bob was a lineman for Bell Telephone. He enjoyed model trains, antique cars and was a member of a drum and bugle corps. Bob was preceded in death by his grandson, Tony Alcott. He is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth Warren Rose; sons, Robert Alcott and his wife, Rhonda and Alan Alcott; grandchildren, Robert Alcott and his fiancee, Amy; great-grandchildren, Anthony, Alexis, Dominic and McKenzie Alcott. Donald James Henry, Born December 14, 1932, passed away August 27, 2019 with his daughter Luette and son-in-law Bobby by his side. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 66 years Donna Mae (Baker) Henry; parent's John and Margaret Henry, brother's Wilfred (Billy), John, Ralph, Robert, and Philip Henry.
He is survived by his daughter, Luette (Bobby) Sharpe, son, Donald (Connie) Henry, daughter, Amy (Lori Ruffner) Henry; granddaughter, Sara (Zachary Van Allen) Henry, grandson, Joshua (Sarah) Henry; granddaughter, Jamie Henry; great grandson, Wyatt Henry; and his sister's, Maureen and Patricia Henry. Don worked at Roy C. Price Ironworks that became Wheaton and Sons for 55 years. He was an avid gardener and card player. His vegetables were the highlight of summer for many family friends and strangers. Don was the mayor of SWHYKGT for 43 years. He was the oldest living member of The Italian Brotherhood of Guffey Club and a member of the Italian Miners Society. Don loved football. He played for the McKeesport Tigers and was honored by the school for his time playing. He loved Friday night football games at Norwin and McKeesport. He made an impact on everyone he loved and met along the years. He will be truly missed. By the way, as Don said, "Glad I saw ya."

Mary Lou "M.L." Reed age 95 of North Huntingdon was relieved of her pain when she got the call to pass through the gates of heaven on August 27, 2019 while residing at the Grove of Irwin. She was born March 13, 1924 in Luxor a daughter of the late Charles and Mary Urchick. Prior to her retirement, Mary Lou was formerly employed by Westinghouse Electric where she met her husband. She was the manager of three soup and sandwich shops and later employed by Jeannette Glass. Mary Lou was a woman of many talents. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ronald. "D.J." Duane John Proctor, 56, of Jeannette, passed away Monday, August 26, 2019 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. He was born May 18, 1963 in Jeannette, a son of the late Duane S. and Katherine (Totin) Proctor. D.J. was a chef and a member of the Norwin Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing and hunting. Mary Soltis, 97, of North Huntingdon, passed away Saturday, August 24, 2019. She was born June 13, 1922 in Skrabske, Czechoslovakia, daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Halkova) Kacvinsky. Mary was a member of St. Stephen Byzantine Catholic Church where she was past president of the women's club and was involved with the fundraising for the church. She embraced her Slovak heritage and was a member of the GCU and enjoyed cooking delicious traditional Slovak dishes and desserts for her family and friends. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all those lives she touched with her gentleness, love and devotion. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Nicholas Soltis; and beloved sons, John and Paul Soltis. Patricia C. Greene, 76 of North Huntingdon died August 24, 2019 at Excela Health Westmoreland Regional Hospital. Carole L. Bonner, 75, of Sewickley Township, passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2019. She was born in McKeesport, Pa., a daughter of the late Carl and Ruth Beltz. Carole was a graduate of McKeesport High School and owner of her beauty shop in her house in Port Vue. Her and her husband, Thomas, were foster parents for 10 years. She loved walking at Indian Lake in the summer and riding on the mower cutting grass and was a member of SOAR US Steel. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Renee Bonner; brothers, Carl Jr. and William Beltz. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Thomas Bonner; sons, Thomas D. Bonner Jr. and his fiancee, Andrea; two grandchildren, Leah Marie Bonner and Venessa Ballough; and five great-grandchildren. Nicholas Karlovich, age 89 of Oakdale, Pa died August 19, 2019 at Concordia in Monroeville. He was born February 10, 1930 in Pittsburgh, Pa., a son of the late Rudolph and Danica Karlovich. Diane M. Tauber, 65, of North Huntingdon, passed away Monday, August 12, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family and friends. Harry Durick, 87, of North Huntingdon, passed away peacefully Monday, August 12, 2019 at home with his family by his side. He was born, February 20, 1932 in Pittsburgh, son of the late Alan and Nancy (Sullivan) Durick. Prior to his retirement, Harry was a diesel mechanic for Penske Truck Leasing. He enjoyed listening and dancing to Polka music, roller skating, fixing cars and deeply loved his family.
